Here we are at our fifth category and another long tradition within AARland. There were not as many AARs listed here mainly because there just aren't that many megacampaigns. It takes a very special talent and a lot of patience to make it through one of these and so we want to see them just as richly awAARded as any other genre of AAR. Only about half of our voters included a nomination here but the competition, especially near the top, was fierce throughout. And it turned out to be yet another very tight race with the separation between winner and runner up being only 0.5 points. I should also repeat the way I account for this category. I counted any part of a megacampaign as long as it was within the eligible time period as part of the megacampaign as a whole. The works listed below are linked to the latest portion of the campaign (as best I could tell from the links provided.)
Therefor allow me to present the 2022 Megacampaign AAR of the Year to...
A very strong showing and richly deserved! Following closely behind, our Silver Cup goes to...
Again, it was extremely close! And also well deserved. Finally our Bronze then goes to...
Possibly one of the fastest megacampaigns ever. Well done!
Eight more AARs were given nomination and they are in order of the vote:
Everyone given nomination should take great pride in their accomplishment and congratulations to each and every one of you. I should also give out special mention to @Macavity116 for his Stormbreaker Series which has come to an end with The Last Heroes, the tenth book of the series all in Stellaris. While it did not qualify for this category as it was not a megacampaign in the traditional sense, it was given nomination by one plucky voter and I thought it should receive at least a shout out because it was and is a massive accomplishment. Well done!
Certainly major congratulations to @Tommy4ever for the win, to @alscon for the Silver Cup and to @Nikolai for the Bronze. And a major thank you to all of the voters that took the time to give your nomination here. The thread is now open for your own congrats, thanks and discussion of the work(s) if you so desire.
