I also expected Brandenburg's Bukkhara in the top 10! Wow.

It was very good, Brandenburg! Excellently done!

Slowly we approach the Top 10, this is the Rank 12 AAR:

Surume - WhAAR? A Nowhaar of Iceland

With a little tear in my eye i have to tell you that you
only made Rank number 12 with your AAR.

For myself you are emotionaly a winner.
You came with no AAR experience, and took one of the
greatest challenges the game has to offer, and you did great for that!
Without giving up on the stoicism that is "the waiting game", or sleeping in ;)

You also where in the Top 10 for a while,
and i am sad that you fell out of them in the end.
But be sure I, and many others, enjoyed your AAR a lot! :)

What your AAR maybe lacked in narrative,
it had in challenge and gameplay & entertainment.

And you missed the Top 10 only for 42 points,
as i said, a very close midfield we have.

Dont stop writing AAR´s, it would be a loss for the AARland! :)

I thank you for competing and i wish you all the best!

I'm guessing Surume will be 12, or maybe Polar Mongoose, they're late starters and late starters haven't done too well so far.

Seems you where right with your first guess.

phew why did I have to miss three announcements because I had to drive home from work (...) or damn dinner :p

You prefer to get home or eat instead of following my updates?.... pfffft

;)

Actually quite a few good AARs are out of the Top 10 :(
I also expected Brandenburg's Bukkhara in the top 10!

Indeed, the midfield around place 10 was the most fierce battleground scorewise.
Changes happened with every new score, up & down.

Just prooves we have had alot of quality in this contest :)

Holy, I checked ontime, this is getting interesting, Indeed, from 10 to 13 was a very short difference in points.

My strong nuclear science is telling me I'm close to appear in the awards, hopefully will be in the Top 10 :).

What a friggin' tragedy. :(

I'll tell you now Surume - you were 3rd in my rankings and I absolutely loved your AAR.

I missed the ones between 19 and 13 as I fell asleep in middle of the day...
Made me wonder if I'm getting seriously sick or something, as I hardly ever get that sleepy...
...and I do indeed have a slight fever, but maybe I'll stay up for now then.

Oh well, at least my refresh button didn't get any more worn down.
Afraid I can't really comment on the ones so far, I've been awfully lazy reading my and the ones I did haven't been awarded yet...
...this is not a promise to make any futher comments either, I'm very bad at them after all.

Sometimes all people need is to know that you're reading their work and enjoying it. ;)

This time I'm going with either Mongoose or Scholar, based on the late starter theory. I'd be shattered if jafloresl doesn't get into the top 10.

The last before the Top 10, this is the Rank 11 AAR:

3180943contest-placement-11.jpg

jafloresl - History, as should have been written: A Victoria II Mexico AAR.

Now we have the last one of the unluckys who didnt made it in the Top 10.
Your AAR had to suffer the fate of beeing ranked at position 11.

You deffinatly would have deserved to be in the Top 10 like alot of others.
Your AAR is good and a great read, i like the pictures you used to illustrate it alot.
Those Uniforms and battle scenes have just a certain feel to them for me.

I am sure you might be alittle dissapointed, but dont be,
you did a great job and entertained your readers pretty well! :)

You also got a 99 points score, so that prooves further
that you did somethig right here!

When you will see that you missed the Top 10 only for 13 points
you will realize that you are a worthy competitor in this contest.

Hold your head high and keep on writing AAR´s, your readers will follow for sure! :)

I thank you for competing and i wish you all the best!

Like I said, I'm shattered... Jafloresl, your Mexican AAR is definitely one of my favourites, I hope you're not too disapointed losing out by only 13 points.

My strong nuclear science is telling me I'm close to appear in the awards, hopefully will be in the Top 10 :).

Welcome to the Party! Your strong nuclear science is still strong, because you where the next one.
I am sad you didnt make it, but it was a heartbeat finish!

What a friggin' tragedy. :(
I'll tell you now Surume - you were 3rd in my rankings and I absolutely loved your AAR.

Tragedys and sudden turns of events, happen here hourly as you see. :(

I allready got a request by a brazillian telenovela to write for them :D ;)

I feel real bad about it ^^ but I assure you it felt worse than it did missing Real Madrid vs Barcelona on tv yesterday. ;)

Now that makes me feel alittle better :)

I am just happy that you showed up. Thank you for that :)

I hope you get well soon and dont sleep in,
your turn will come, and you are in the Top 10!

Youre shattered i see, now get up again and predict number 10 :D

----------------------------------------------

Guys i will take a short break, expect the next update not before 19:30 CET (in an hour)

Then we will get to know my victims.... err... Judges :)

And then the Top 10!

I am blown away by your responses and participation, thank you so much that you are there :)

Keep on commenting & speculating, and dont forget to gratulate the ones that have allready gotten to know their rank!

Youre shattered i see, now get up again and predict number 10
I'm still sticking with Mongoose or Scholar, late starter theory has been very accurate so far.

I'd say TeckoR, forgiven and Poh will round up positions 10-6, I'm eager to see if my predictions for the top 5 are accurate still...

As I said, from 10 to 13 was a very short difference in points, I was hoping to be in the Top 10 :(, but it is also my first AAR, I feel good with the result, good luck to everybody and I will definetly finish my first AAR, but have been busy at work and still have the next update on hold .

Tic tac, tic tac, that's the sound of your life running out...
...err, or time to get to the end really, midnight is only few hours away and you have the judges and 10 aar's to go still!

I fully agree with this, I'm disappointed it didn't get more points. It was the most interesting AAR gameplay-wise by quite a lot.

Unfortunately, I'm out for the night so for everyone I'll miss out on Congratulations in advance! If Alex maintains his current speed, I just might be able to catch the top five when I return. :)

OK Fellas, i am back! :)

With a fresh coffee, and alot of elan we will now approach the rest of the standings :)

I am glad you dont take it bad, i liked your AAR very much :)

Well, different judges have different opinions :)

I try to do it as fast as possible really :)

I thank you my dear Judges, you all did well and your best

I want to apologize again for making the judging too complicated.
I am glad we brought it through together anyway :)

Without you this contest would not have happened,
like if there wouldnt be any contestors!

I thank you for your Time and your Scores!

I wont go into detail about any of you,
you are all well known Participants in this forum,
some moderators, some makers of great mods,
some great AAR writers and all are really helpfull
but thats what matters the most :)

Everyone of you is invited to post your scores
and opinions about the AAR´s you did judge.

But thats out of your free will, i wont force anyone to do that,
but it would be really great if you had time for that! :)

Thanks again, i hope i wasnt a too great annoyance to you!

I also want to thank all the other pepole that i invited to be judge,
but who didnt had the time for it, i am not disappointed or anything
if you had to decline my request.

But you can be sure if i asked you then i honor you and your opinion! :)

A big special thanks goes to the 2 community Judges, who volunteered for judging!

Woo! Go us!
