Marxists

I am a swing voter. The disgraceful actions of the AKBC have made me disillusioned with the German Socialists. At least the Marxists' social reforms offer a tangible benefit for the people.

Marxists!

For a united people's republic! Remember comrades, nationalism is just a tool of imperialism and capitalism!
We shall grant the wallons perfectly equal rights under our administration, the people united are stronger than the people divided!

I'd just like to point out that my previous AAR Dios, Patria, Rey - A Carlist Spain AAR has just won the Favorite History-Book AAR, Vicky II section at the ACAs :D

Yay!

Thanks for everyone who voted for me. :D

Anyway, here is the current poll:

48 votes

Marxists - 21
Anarchists 13
German Socialists - 10
Unionists - 4

With a few days still left to vote the Marxists are looking in good shape to win, afterall the German Socialists only needed 20 votes to win in the last election.

See, what did I tell you? DPR will probably sweep the first VictAARian Cross (II) awards too. :D

Oh and BTW, could you shed some light on the Marxist's plebiscite?

Here's hoping. :D

The plebiscite on voting reform? Basically I intend to give you 4 or 5 options of how to change the current voting system and alongside your faction you would post a vote for your favoured voting system in the next election.

I plan to give you quite a lot of detail for each system but I'm not sure exactly which systems I'm going to propose just yet. You can count on there being a second preference one (you would need 50% or more of the votes to win in the first round and if this is not achieved I would count 2nd preferences) there will also be a sort of Parliamentary one where the proportion of votes a faction recieves directly changes the number of positions they hold within the Central Committee. So you get the idea that that plebicite could really change things.

That's what i thought. I just wanted to make sure because any form of Proportional Representation or Preferential Voting would make things a little harder on the person counting the votes (ie. you)

The state is too strong! Too much power can corrupt any person and destroy our worker's paradise! So let the Anarchists lead our glorious nation to a bright future!

In true anarchist fashion, some of us are voting even when there is no vote! You can't stop the vote!

Like how you cant stop an avalanche
as it races down the hill
You can try to stop the seasons, girl
But ya know you never will
And you can try to stop my dancin' feet

Cause you know you can't stop the beat.

the beat of the revolution

I vote Anarchist! Though I have Trade Unionist leanings, I give the Anarchists my support. Your earlier mentioning of religious policy, bear in mind that the Orthodox churches in the USSR still had significant support and came out of the Revolution just as strong as they were beforehand. Could their be an underground church movement inside the VSVR to change the religious policy?

I like to vote (and I cannot lie)
You otha' brothas can't deny.
When the OP posts again with the election slate
and a tight three-way race
you get sprung...

MArxist

The VSVR is here for the proletarian people, yet barely any social reform has passed yet, this needs to change!

PS: Tommy4ever, you managed to get my first post on a Paradox forum!

Polls are now going to close at midday tommorow rather than at 5 PM. This way I am much more likely to be able to make an election update by then end of that day.

Marxist!
Comrades, as long as we have a diverse opinion within the Party itself, the State newspapers will cater to a variety of opinions. While I favour easing press restrictions, any good revolutionary knows that economics is the most important aspect of any political policy. The Anarchists would persue a reactionary taxation policy and do precious little to improve the lives of the workers. They would also foolishly hold a referrendum prematurely, in a territory where there are still elite classes with the power to manipulate such a vote. We must bring the light of revolution to the entire world, not that part of it that happens to speak German. Workers of the World, Unite!
