The results of the first years of war are quite good. Even the socialists were forced to accept the inevitable and jointed the united front against the invaders. As long as the most radical pacifists and anarchists are kept in prisons, we will be fine. Nationalists are less of a danger for now, because it's easy to appeal to patriotism during the war in their case.

However, it is clear that with the big German successes in the East, the war will last much longer. I would double the number of prison guards in order to ensure that our socialistic friends don't get any stupid ideas in the light of events taking place in Russia. From the French perspective, the more troops that Germany needs to keep in the East, the better.

I see. You are trying to get trough policies that allow imprisonment of people without any particular reason. The capitalists show their true face!

What? These radicals basically forced us to imprison them, because they were disrupting the national effort in a time of crisis. They are in a clear minority, though. Most Frenchmen understand the necessity of unity during wartime.

Also, I propose an amphibious attack on Wilhelmshaven, with one or two divisions, and then make raids on the industrial center of Germany.

Orwellian doublethink by Capitalist slavedrivers. They are taking away our civil liberties in order to kill young men for no reason other than a few square kilometres of land!

You imbecile, this is the future of our country we are fighting for and our men who are dying for this cause! Even the majority of your party understood this - only the most delusional socialist "thinkers" still think that the intention of the war is to oppress the masses.
 
For working out casualties at the end of the war, would a principle of roughly 1 manpower = 1,000 people be about right?

I'll probs do the next part of the war later today.

Yet the noble worker catches the train and is plunged into the muddy mire, with a diet of corned beef and water whilst the Duke's son gets off the train at Headquarters and hobnobs with the Officers on a diet of actual food and wine to go with each course...
 
It may be shocking to you, but there are fewer rich people than poor people in the trenches, because... fewer people are rich in general.

Also, have you visited the poor districts recently? Those who were unemployed are now actually better off than they were, because the state provides food, shelter and employment to the soldiers.

Yeah for all that food and shelter the state is providing majority of them an early death. Many of those soldiers are young men, the future of France. And your warmongering is throwing their lives away just so the elitist can have their profit. You claim to think what is best for France and it's people but in the end you are liars who only think of themselves and their status in the society as rulers. You probably want to throw all those young intellectuals to the front to die in the trenches so they cant have their say in the matters of the state. You want to secure the future governance of OUR nation to your own bloody hands. Shame on you you capitalist warmongerer! Shame on you!

You claim to know better how to spend the money of all these Frenchmen than they do and yet you are still searching for conspiracies which do not exist. Shame on you.

What profit is there to be had in a war like this? Truly, what is to be gained from fighting the Prussian war-machine? The deaths of hundreds, perhaps millions? How on earth is that profitable? Do you reds ever stop to think, or do you simply open your mouths and spew nonsense? Do you not think the capitalists of our nation would rather have those millions of people working in their factories, rather than dying in a trench?

This isn't a war for profit, and anyone who thinks otherwise clearly has no understanding of how the modern world works.

I would argue that anyone who couldn't see how the elite could profit while socialists and anarchists are being arrested for disrupting national unity is short sighted. Furthermore, I find it quite amusing that the PRD is responding to a crisis by arresting those who 'disrupt national unity'. It has been said that the best way to test someone's character is to give them power. What do these actions say about the PRD's character?
