Ok, I attended the conference as NGF then i received the congo, but it realeased as an independent state? It appeared as "Congo Free State" now it's just Congo.

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong. At least to most of my knowledge the Berlin Conference was not in any for to form an independent African nation.

The event forms a Congo Free State that's a satellite of whoever receives it in the conference, so it's no bug, it's WAD.

I received it! it was never a satelitte tho. Its just some independent unciv nation ATM.

In RL the Congo was not annexed by Belgium but became the King of Belgium's personal property. Only after he horrifically abused the country was it finally annexed by Belgium.

and what d I have to do in order to get Congo as a satellite? What does the event check when choose who get it?
