EU4 Dev Clash #11 - Baltic Elephants - Tuesdays 15:00 CET

If you start at zero there is pretty much nothing to loose!
That's where you're wrong.:p
When you're at zero the audience is neutral and will support you if you show some good fights or have a bad guy attack you.

If you do good deeds you'll go into the positives and the Twitch crowd will love you, give you your versions of ave, and you'll have full support.

If you do bad deeds on the other hand you'll go into negative and become Satan incarnate The Bad Guy (TM) and Twitch will be against you even if you do well and they will highly support you being cut down to size.

It's all about maintaining the trust and reverance of the Twitch peasant masters. KJ knows that and hence he soars.:p

Jake on stream upon seeing KJ taking New York:
Niuew Amsterdam still full Portuguese. Come on Bratyn...

Seems we have DDRforgetful, because I'm pretty sure this change prevented Bratyn changing the culture of Niuew Amsterdam.
It’s impressive that Jake forgot about the single most hated change in the upcoming patch… Especially with how much he has had to defend it

Yep. Also in case there was any doubt about it being due to the change then Bratyn has confirmed that it indeed was due to the change that Nieuw Amsterdam remained Portuguese.

Apparently, if you hit Dutch hard enough, they "fly" back to the Old World... like a "Flying Dutchman"!
2018090501 EUIVmeme.jpg

The painting captured the most "realistic" image of the 2nd Battle of Bermuda, 1720, where Comrade Sta.... ke,keke, Johan and peasants of Republic, sent Dutchman flying as they should, and ended Dutch Imperialism in Amerika at last.

With the Liberation of America all but done in the name of Lord Admiral of the People KaiserJohan and with another astounding victory in the year long naval battle of the West Bermudas against cockleshell captain Bratyn, the sailors of the Netherlands are left to found their new Atlantis out on the sea... while the Dutch newspapers cry. Why did our sons die, when no one ever saw war?

The Tragedy of the Bermudas, and the founding of New Rotterdam!

MEANWHILE NEAR CANADA

Prise_de_la_Bastille.jpg

In the wake of the Age of Enlightenment, the good people of France revolted against the rule of their Emperor Charles VI of Burgundy.
Some say there was disapproval of this campaigns in America which seemed far away from their concerns. Others blamed his overspending and general handling of state finances. Finally, one popular theory was simply that the French just plainly liked to complain for just about anything.
In any case, the Etats Généraux were convened in Versailles to discuss the issues at hand.
Debates quickly flared up, with some speaking about pushing for a constitution, turning the country into a republic or even judge the Emperor for treason.
In the midst of the confusion, a so-called Directorate seized power and placed the Emperor under house arrest.
However, rumours of a young artillery officer of Genoese decent among the Directors quickly spread among the Sans-Culottes who started besieging Paris. After all, history had told the proud Burgundians than Genoese are never to be trusted.
In the end, the French decided that they didn't need another Caesar disguised as a man of the people. The terrible example of the bloody and tyrannic rule on the other side of the Atlantic probably played an important role in that reasoning.

Today the First French Republic stands strong. The country is once more stable and the Girondist faction in power have properly reorganised the army. It is now time to spread the True Revolution through Europe... and overseas!

That was an amazing session today. :) And I really hope the promise of a free and strong Nitra shall be fulfilled next week.

@TheLetterZ , even though the vultures eventually got you through sheer numbers (and through leeching off the strength of the Magyar-Slovaks) - that was a great display of strength that will forever inspire the followers of VÄLFÄRD in their fight for all that is good and beautiful. <3

One trend I noticed through the whole dev clash so far - why was / is Delhi so damn poor in comparison, even when they had a dev advantage over Gujarat? Unless the trade goods have been seriously changed around Delhi's ownership of the entire Bengal area should have meant that they were filthy rich. Was Gujarat pulling all of their trade value away or something?

Seems like a fair fight... o_O
There are many ways to arrange those tags in different teams, you're just choosing the one that makes you look like the victim...
The deliberate omission of your present allies is also disingenuous.
