Todays session in a nutshell:

A farmer who goes craftsman would actually open a workshop first, which is only a year :p But still...

Can't wait for the session! In the mean time, here I am, waiting for @DDRJake dev diary :D

My dev diaries are ready and up at the same time every week like clockwork, no need to wait and crush your F5 button.

Humans may have evolved to notice patterns and repeating occurances, but Paradox fans have evolved to simultaneously micromanage refreshing multiple forum pages at once for hours.

A warmer climate is good for cold regions they said. Global warming will actually benefit northern countries they said.

The blistering sunburns on the pasty skin of those of us with Scandinavian heritage are on their conscience now! ;)
Personally I believe that we should reintroduce the blood eagle as punishment for those with such... terrible opinions.

The Year of our Lord 1582

As the Ottoman shadow looms dark over Europe and Arabia, an Ottoman Opposition has been formed. It's purpose; to contain and dismantle the emerald enemy. But as the nations of the Italian peninsula prepare for war, the threat of Burgundy weakens their resolve. To settle this matter, the Emperor of Ethiopia has traveled to the far off champagne lands to treat with the King of Burgundy. After lengthy negotiations, the King saw reason. The two sides have agreed to a one session cease-fire in order to deal with the adversary from Anatolia. Neither the King nor the Emperor is clear on what a "session" means, but those observing seem to understand.

Wait! ... An alliance between Da9L and his arch-nemesis Bratyn?!?

It must be VERY hot in sweden... ;)

Seeing the stream... Groogy misses the chat the entire time and they developed tunnel vision for the Burgundy War. I really want Chris back this feels more like an actual football game now. Not an interactive Twitch experience. Groogy's chat skill has gone down by 1 today it seems. Chat went rather rabid over being ignored a bit too. Only Jake finally got a glance for the chat.

I'm flattered that the Netherlands, Burgundy, and Ethiopia all consider me enough of a threat to march armies into Central Asia to stop my expansion.

Very fun session.
A minor issue @Groogy : it's cool the Dutch dynasty name has been changed when Orangists are in power, but can't it be just "van Oranje" instead of "van xxx van Oranje" as it is now?
The latter feels rather weird.

Theodoro is the REAL Purple Phoenix

Story of today's session: Gujarat and Genoa interfered with the nations battling the Ottomans preventing the threat from being neutralized, and got smacked down for it.

Ah yes the terrifying Ottoman emprie that began the session with no manpower and in over 1000 ducats of debts ;)

Who needs manpower when you have more troops than the attackers combined?

Treason. No other words can describe what happened. The Treaty of Rome is not valid anymore. The traitors will be punished.

If Italy can't be united with diplomacy, it will be united by force. I, Pope Innocent XII declare the Kingdom of God.

Since the current devclash version has a scoring bug, here's the revised score one month before Age of Reformation ends (totally undoctored by Burgundy):

With that, I'm off to get a beer after all those exhausting wars.
