@DDRJake could the reason the Caribias seperatists aren't rebelling be that the Caribbias colonial nation has no cores anymore?

Also shame on you Bratyn and Millen...
Peasants forever!
Johan has betrayed the revolution thrice. His loss is at his own hands!

I liked the colour that sets the leader to a van Oranje when the Dutch Republic has the Orangists in charge.

Any chance of changing the title so they aren't a Grand Syndic, though?

Have it as Stadhouder if it's Orangist and Raadspensionaris if the Statists are.

They were called a Grand Syndic because the Burghers took control (the disaster fired). That has been remedied now.

P.s. Bratyn, what would you like as an avatar for freeing the Welsh from the Scottish Yoke?

Hup Holland!

I loved "I'm suddenly much less worried about Scandinavia..."

Holland/Burgundy alone (not counting Castille/Portugal) can probably crush every single European player combined at this point... :D

HOWEVER - We shall never give up the struggle in the hopes that our defiance will give the rest of the world the momentum it needs to catch up!

schilderij-de-slag-op-de-medway-chatham-1667.jpg

The Dutch Republican fleet decimates the Royal Dithmarschen Navy in the battle of the Bay of Campeche, after the successful siege of Commune #11.

As DictatorJohan once more betrayed his peasant subjects and crowned himself KingJohan, the Republic of the Netherlands decided it had been enough and that the peasants had to be forcibly freed from KingJohan's yoke. Within months of the declaration of war, a Johan-funded bourgeois coup attempted to seize control of the government. Luckily, they were only partially successful, and could not prevent the liberation force that promptly descended on the Royal Dithmarschen Caribbean holdings.

Much tolerance was exported, and in Central America an army of 30,000 peasants, forced into service by their despicable King, were tolerated to the last man, scant weeks after the Royal Dithmarschen Navy was tolerated to the bottom of the seas. And yet, after all hope had faded, KingJohan still refused to relinquish his new-found throne. And so, the Dutch were forced to make do with liberating the peasant populations in the Caribbean from the tyrant's hold, and welcome them to a true republic. As promised, no attempts to core these lands have been made, giving these peasants total autonomy.

Even now, the Tyrant of the West continues to rule from his throne, raised high above the heads of his labouring subjects... If internal forces do not return Dithmarschen to a proper republic, the Dutch shall be forced to intervene once more...

Ming and Korea lead technology except player Venice.. Institution needs some fix.
Catching up on printing press would require us Burgundians to read books.
Something we can't do in peace because our italians and Spanish neighbours keep asking us to arbitrate their disputes.

So...
Does @sidestep know that Ming has the tendency to just break tributary status without warning when one becomes too large? :D

I'm impressed with how the Burgundian troops have been performing today, by the way. That was some quality asskicking. :)

And finally: Notice how Dithmarschen lost two wars right after they fully commited to their monarchist ways. Coincidence? I think not. At this point, it's a race - can Dithmarschen re-re-form the glorious Peasant Republic in time to fend off the Dutch? And the Norwegians, and the Portuguese?

So...

That is the other way around. Nations around 300 developement become disloyal instead, stop paying tribute and THEN Ming intervenes.

As a player you can stay under their support against "coalitions" in an ironman run as the Rajput Reich until you invade the HRE. Quite nice for the small price of 12 monarch points, money per year. They never ask for troops.
