Hello again AARlanders!

Believe it or not, it was not merely three days ago that I last put one of these threads up, but three months ago. So the fleeting year glides on, and so it is time once more for the latest installment of AARland's most beloved award-saga (a niche accolade, I'll grant). Yes, the ACAs are back!

You all know the drill by now, I'm sure. To recap, all ballots are to be cast here and, as ever, all AARs updated between the 1st of July and the 30th of September (inclusive) are eligible for contention. You may nominate up to four pieces of work from each of the following games:

Crusader Kings II
Europa Universalis IV
Victoria II
Hearts of Iron III
Darkest Hour
In addition to these, each voter is entitled to nominate four AARs in the "Other" category, including all Paradox games not mentioned above.

To vote, simply post your ballot like so:

[Category]

1. AAR title; author; URL
2. AAR title; author; URL
3. AAR title; author; URL
4. AAR title; author; URL
If a URL has been posted once, there's no need to put it up again.

I'll be announcing the winners on the 1st of November, or otherwise as soon as possible afterwards. Until then, get voting!

I was waiting for this to show up. I shall reserve my spot and start looking for AARs to vote for. Turns out I don't read as many AARs as I used to. Tricky finding enough to fill the spots. :p

I'm not even entirely sure if I can vote for blklizard's AAR. Technically I do the playthroughs for it, but all the narrative and updates are entirely his. I personally see it as his AAR and I'm just providing him with material to write about. If it's an issue, I'll change my vote.

The Amsterdammer Way - A Mildly Interactive AAR by delpiero1234

It's one of the few AARs I've fully kept up with. It's a fun campaign, not dictated by blobbing. The mild interactivity is something I am thoroughly enjoying, allowing to interact without having to read or write huge in-character pieces.

But I'll leave a compliment here for everyone that bothers to create all this content, it's a lot of work and a lot of fun to read.

Would it be uncouth to nominate one's own AAR?

I did remind people last time, though it is common sense somewhat, but just to be clear: voting for your own work is a very, very large no-no.

In other news, my very many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to vote so far. Now that I have internet again I'll be doing a bit more to promote the fact that voting season is upon us – but please remember that you all can too, and that doing so is incredibly highly appreciated by me and, more importantly, AARland's authorial community. Even if it's just a link in your signature, every little helps. :)

To everyone else: what in God's name are you waiting for? Vote!

Shouldn't you vote too instead of criticizing the ones who take their time ? :p

Criticising? I'm not criticising anyone.

(Part 3 might be disallowed as I have partaken in that one

Just to make it clear in case these sorts of worries are affecting anyone's voting choices: participating in an interactive AAR does not make one an author of said AAR. An author, in my view, is one who writes actual updates.
