Wow, this came out of nowhere!
Thank you to @Superstorm for the nomination, and great to hear you are enjoying the campaign!
And a further thanks to everyone else who is reading and commenting, it is this community in AARland that always keeps me coming back every update. I do hope you all stick around for the 300 or so years of EU4 we have left to see what fate has in store for France and England!

I suppose I should now be on the lookout for next weeks nominee, guess I've got plenty of reading to catch up on! :p

Congratulations, @ibicko! While this follows the CK map, you have made EU4 part new and exciting by traveling to a new world. While England and France sounds like a giant ready to steamroll the world, you are facing trials and tribulations managing your diverse country. Excellent work and sign me up for four hundred years.

I suppose it is about time that I hand over to the next nominee. Unfortunately, I have been a little busy of late so I haven't had the opportunity to catch up on all of my reading list, but I do have an AAR in mind to lend the spotlight to.
There is so much talent in this community and such a plethora of different writings styles and stories, but I wanted to shine a bit of light on some of the newcomers to AARland, but also to something that I think is truly unique. It is no mean feat to write an AAR, especially (what I think is) your first, and it takes a lot of time and dedication to keep a high standard of writing and maintain interest over what can be many months (or even years). But it's something else to write a tale in such a truly different manner as this user has done.

That's why I would like to nominate @filcat for The Secret History of the Bargas!
A unique character-focused tale on the treacherous Mongol steppe, a region I'm ashamed to admit I tend to overlook in most Paradox games. I especially love how you frame the narrative around the historiography of the steppe in such a unique and interesting style that I don't think I've ever seen before on this forum. Congratulations!

[cheers and applause]
Thank you, thank you ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to The Always Late Show, I'm your host Filhen Catbert. And it is great...
[cheers and applause]
And it is great to be back - that's a lovely crowd, that's a wonderful crowd, don't you think, Jon?
[Yeah, wonderful, brilliant crowd!]
Yes, Jon Batiste everyone!
[cheers and applause]
Folks. You know I am a humble man when it comes to the words that we deliver every time on this show for your pleasure.
[laughter]
Humble in the great sense of mental. But on this night, we have to stop and think about what we have been doing for so long. It's the sanity check for all to breathe when one puts down the words to bring this show for you, the brilliant audience.
[cheers and applause]
You know I do not boast about the features we have on this show, because I am the modest, the most modest host. [laughter] But I have news. Folks. The Always Late Show with Filhen Catbert and its segment [turns to side camera] The Secret History of the Bargas has been nominated for the Weekly AAR Showcase!
[loud cheers and applause]
Thank you! Thank you! I thank you, this magnificent audience, and thank you @ibicko, receiving this is the most joyous honour! Thank you @Idhrendur, @Midnite Duke, @Specialist290, @Nikolai, thank you @DensleyBlair - it's the rain season of awards, you are right [laughter], thank you @Bullfilter, @HistoryDude, and @El Pip! Thank you all! Jon Batiste everybody!
[loud cheers and applause] [music enters]
Thank you! Err... Jon, that's a bit too irish, even for my taste, don't you agree?
[Well, true that's not my repertoire, but neither I exist in this show.]
What do you mean, Jon?
[Dude, you don't even pay me, and I work for another one.]
But you don't exist, isn't that what you've said? And I couldn't afford it to hire you actually.
[laughter]
[That's right, I'm no cheap musician]
[laughter]
Jon Batiste the Existentialist, everyone!
[laughter] [cheers and applause]
Folks. It's all good to enjoy this awAARd, but it's Weekly AAR Showcase for a reason. It stands for a week. Then we have to move on.
[aaaw]
And we are past the week. We are sadly late as always, very rude of us, and I apologise for that, but otherwise it wouldn't be called The Always Late Show, right?
[laughter]
Folks. I nominate for the next week an AAR, which starts right off the bat with a Yippety-Dip, and it opens with Sir Anthony C.H. Melchett [the screen shows the photo], seen here as a man thinking how to eat bananas after growing that forest of a mustache, but contemplates to the idea of a milkshake [laughter]. Yes folks, that's Stephen Fry in one of his iconic roles, but it's now Second World War.
[boos]
Big haters of war. Crowd hates the war, Jon.
[Yeah, that's a peaceful crowd]
Folks, on that AAR from HoI3 realm, which already begins with a winner opening, there are more than one can expect. There is of course Edmund Blackadder, now a Major General, his ups and downs; down especially when he receives a letter from his oldest friend, Baldrick [cheers and applause], and to his horror, as a Baron!
[laughter]
That's not all it has, folks. That wondrous AAR has plans going wrong, plans involving a war, and breakfast [laughter], and what's more, it has deadly hilarious parts with deadly results, considering a garrote wire.
[wooa]
All I say folks, that AAR has the brilliance, and it will be one hell of a reading for those not yet tasted that pleasure. Go now and enjoy it, as it is A Gentleman's War : The Middle-East Command (HoI3 TFH - UK AAR) for the Weekly AAR Showcase, let's congratulate @Eurasia everyone!
[loud cheers and applause]
Thank you everyone once again! Jon Batiste everyone! We have a wonderful show tonight!

Edit: Corrected style mistakes. Added a missing word.
