I frankly wish that cooler heads prevail here. Dismissing a chancellor so soon after an election is insanity, and will destroy this coalition.

While the appointment of comrade St. Gerard does do something to ease my concerns regarding this government, my support is conditional upon the appointment of a member of either the DSU or KPD to the post of Commander of the Corps of Gendarmerie. The Commander must be a man of the people, and the bourgeoisie liberals are far from representatives of the common man. The Commander must represent the workers, lest we revert to the massacres of strikers and protesters which seemed a daily occurrence nearly a decade ago, when I first took office.

I am honored to accept the role of Minister of Education. I believe that Comrade Herwig has done an excellent job in the role, and I hope to continue on the same track. I will maintain his current program, but I reserve the right to make changes next year, once I am more familiar with my duties.

I will vote confidence in the government.

I support both the Republic Railway Act and the pension increase (though I am disappointed that the promised unemployment subsidies have been postponed, due to interdepartmental administrative squabbles).

Furthermore, I have confidence in the government.
 
This power grab by the federalist and conservative bourgeois elite is detestable! This is entirely a ploy by the federalists to rig the system.
