OFAB - Thank you - main story will continue after 3-4 updates, once I finish this detailed world overview. Indeed, I can`t wait for Vicky period to begin, but before that we will have protestantism, religious wars, birth of absolute monarchies and/or revolutions. I`m curious what kind of country Poland is going to be at the end EU3 period.
RGB - Thank you sir. Well, Tver have advantage of Despoic Monarchy (big badboy max limit, and thus better foreign tolerance for conquests) as well as support of Metropolitan of Rus` in liberating Russians under tatar rule (I gave them Deus Vult national idea to reflect this - permanent casus beli against countries with different religion). On the other hand Novgorod have enormous economical advantage thanks to center of trade. It`ll be interesting to watch conflict over Russia, I have no idea who is going to win at this point. Cumans - hehe good guess, XVIIth century in eastern Europe without cossacks wouldn`t be fun. As for Bolgars - they have big territory, but most of it is sparsely populated. They can be dangerous early in the game, before technological east-west disproportion begins to hit them.
Earl Uhtred - thank you - indeed CK games can be weird, glad to hear that I managed to put some sense into it.
Trondheim - Thanks. Yep - so far they are quite equally balanced, but sooner or later Bolgar and Horde will began to stay behind in technology, unless they`ll manage to westernize somehow (small chances for that).
Alojzy - Dzięki. Yes I`ll be using Magna Mundi Gold, but i`ll have to review all events and delete some of them (castille-aragon, ottoman, austria-hungary, early colonization etc.) I`m also not sure how HRE would work, since there is big kingdom of Germany there, title separate from imperial one. But MMG is a must - far superior to vanilla.
Emperor_krk - Thanks. Well, I probably won`t interfere because I would potentially gain only provinces with different religion and culture plus some badboy - while playing MMG mod this can bring more bad than good. Besides there is still lot of independent Polish duchies to reclaim, and since i`m roleplaying monarchs, I won`t play with any long term strategies or predictions as I normally do.
Fijj - Well, there`s complete table of contents with links to each chapter in opening post.
Snugglie, Spencer_123 - Cheers. Map is basically made from blank EU3 map I made with some additions in Photoshop like better looking borders, and old paper texture.
Judas Maccabeus - Thanks - Russia will probably be united, I gave Novgorod and Tver cores on each other plus Yaroslav and Tver, just like it was in EU2 1419 scenario. We`ll see.
Specialist290, canonized, Grubnessul, Nikolai, Ringelnatz, English Patriot, Ahura Mazda, VILenin, Elecwaves, grayghost - thank you guys
New update - overview/history of Balkans - will be most likely finished on Sunday.
Then only:
- Greece/Asia Minor
- Middle East
- Poland/Lithuania
- General European overview (religions, economy and such stuff)
, and actual game will continue. I also consider adding small narrative bits, but don`t be afraid - they will be short and infrequent, just for flavor - I don`t want to scare you off.
BTW. AAR just hit
