But Catholic though.. Would we have a protestant emperor and aggravate the catholics? Or a catholic emperor and anger the protestants? And though I whole-fully respect Herr Karl, with his support for german democracy and rights, I do not feel comfortable having a Kaiser with a faith that has put it's weight on a man.. At least Protestants rejected the pope for the sovereign states rights, and thus it's people?
I am certain the good King would, as emperor as well as in his present station, always support freedom of beliefs. Karl appears to be aligned with the very best of Centrist thought: a firm Catholic base to serve as a bridge to all good Christians, and even the gentiles.
