I am certain the good King would, as emperor as well as in his present station, always support freedom of beliefs. Karl appears to be aligned with the very best of Centrist thought: a firm Catholic base to serve as a bridge to all good Christians, and even the gentiles.

Well, dammit. I've been reading this AAR from the start for the past week, and was held up for a couple of days with family maters, it appears I just missed a very critical election that would have seen me cast the tie breaking vote!

Karl von Habsburg seems like an alright chap, and constitutional monarchy isn't a bad consolation prize if we can't have an outright republic... but choosing a Habsburg over a Hohenzollern for the German nation the Habsburgs fought so hard to prevent from being birthed seems... wrong.

Karl von Habsburg seems like an alright chap, and constitutional monarchy isn't a bad consolation prize if we can't have an outright republic... but choosing a Habsburg over a Hohenzollern for the German nation the Habsburgs fought so hard to prevent from being birthed seems... wrong.

Socialism and fascisms are wrong yet it does not stop the ignorant masses from choosing them... We live in a world of madness.

Look at what the current politicians in control are doing; RAISING TAXES.

I hope you are right, and hopefully Herr Karl will prove to be a competent king, Austrian-catholic he may be. Though I'm not sure that defending the jews would be a good thing...

I formally demand the formation of a new party, Neue Liberale Front, a continuation of old DDP policies except for the giving in to monarchist deals.

We didn't get the chance to do that, and look at what have happened We've got an autocratic state where DAP are very strong. Just as I predicted. The only reason I wanted DDP to potentially cooperate was to prevent this in the first place! For the split of the DDP, it was not something I wanted nor something I orchestrated.

Your government have bent on our liberties, restricted our freedoms, plunging the economy into a recession (see, I told you it would happen), it is socialist aggitation just when we thought the. Threat of communists were past, and your government did nothing about the fascists and paper hats when they are marching in the streets attacking miniorities. And I don't know if you've seen what else is happening, you got no monarch! I told you, you can't agree on it andd the government will be split. Unfortunately you put monarchy over democracy (which over 70% of the people wanted, why only a little over 40% wanted a monarchy) and we may steer into a path of tyranny - or we already are.

I hope history won't judge you too harshly, and that one day you see what you've ruined in the pursuit of a personal wet dream of yours. At least I thought you were a disillusioned semi-liberal. But you're not even that.

Actually, I do: the battle between republicans and monarchists is over; and the monarchists have won. The final battle for the soul of Germany, between the democrats and the fascists, has now begun. This is no time to be pining over a republic - living out a memory of a state gone by. The Kaiser Karl has raised his standard in favour of liberty and democracy, and all Germans who share those views shall flock to the standard. On the other side of the field lie the brownshirts, clad in paper hats and jackboots with weapons poised. At out Kaiser's command and with God as his right, we together shall crush the fascists once and for all! There is no two ways about it, either you stand with us and liberty or you stand with the fascists and tyranny: Germany has no time to listen to siren voices from outside from those who have given up the fight from within.
