I formally demand the formation of a new party, Neue Liberale Front, a continuation of old DDP policies except for the giving in to monarchist deals.

So you would willingly abandon a possible tyrant that maybe will be able to respect the rights of his people, for a catholic Imperial house that would force the German people to subscribe to the popes wishes? Well, I guess the Dark Ages wasn't that bad.. I mean, the Crusades and Inquisitions did something good atleast..
That is unjust and baseless slander. König Karl has shown himself nothing but an ardent supporter of democracy, liberty and justice. He is a true Emperor of Germany.
But Catholic though.. Would we have a protestant emperor and aggravate the catholics? Or a catholic emperor and anger the protestants? And though I whole-fully respect Herr Karl, with his support for german democracy and rights, I do not feel comfortable having a Kaiser with a faith that has put it's weight on a man.. At least Protestants rejected the pope for the sovereign states rights, and thus it's people?
Herr Lobenswert, my eyes are unclouded: on the one hand I see a tyrant-regent - a Prussian autocrat and no supporter of democratic values whatsoever, on the other there is good King Karl, who is willing to risk all in standing up against these northern radicals! It is good to know that at least part of the South is now firmly protected by his hand. I wish that glorious rule to be shared with the entire nation.
