This looks to be the "Lokken Mechanists" prescripted Empire.

There is some robot related resource, that needs Roboticists Specialists. Propably needed assemble and maintain those robots?

Droids seem to have a new Symbol - a Brain with a question mark - to denote their less then clear sentience/sapience status.

It appears you can order the Jobs. Propably to see where a new pop will be first placed. It could also be t hat there is some cap for specialsits, and you get to decide how to split that between Matallurgists, Reserach and Roboticists. I see something that looks like a "Policeman" job just above the Entertainers job.

The spanner/screw driver thing is the robot equivalent of planet amenities, which I guess buffs pops somehow. So robotisists pop will buff robot outputs somehow.

"Maintance" resource seems to be the thing for Machine Empires

So it's probably straight up build speed and maintance for regular empires is covered by upkeep.
Based on it's Position and the likely Strata for Worker Drones/Entertainers, it seems to simply replace "Happiness".

And here's a look at the population tab. Please bear in mind that all of this is still in an early development stage and there's placeholder art, non-final numbers and all that. :) https://twitter.com/Martin_Anward/status/1019940390701621248

Under the new planetary management system, the pops of Machine Empires will be organized quite differently and have different needs from those of their former organic masters...

Very interesting. There appears to be quite a few different jobs out there now.
I wonder if being able to move pops around between jobs is going to be a click and drag thing anymore.
Perhaps it'll take time for pops to change between professions.
After all if pops could easily change between professions than unemployment isn't as big a deal as we would think.

Speculation: The AI or you can rank your jobs per planet (or per sector or maybe even for your entire empire).
Pops then grow (get built) into the highest ranked job available.
There would then be a gradual phase where pops transition between the different job/strata types.
You could probably make it so pops have an easier time transitioning between jobs within a strata than between strata's to represent class mobility (Egalitarians could get a bonus to class mobility)

an interesting example would be if you take over a planet that had a bunch of slaves, but slavery is illegal in your empire so all those former slaves are now unemployed and need time to transition to other professions. Depending on your empires class mobility and educational opportunities, this could take a while or be really fast.

In theory this system would be a lot easier on the AI and thus make the late game much more computer friendly

I also wonder if Robot pops will have the ability to push organic pops out of their jobs to unemployment status(causing them to slowly transition to other jobs/strata)

I have been wondering when we can expect the next DD/Twitch Stream.
Last twitch Stream was on the 31st of May, 3 months ago.
Last DD seems to be this from 21st June, 1.5 months ago.

I know that Paradox has a "Holidy Month". But I could find nothing on when twitch and/or DD's would resume. It has certainly been over a month now.

Edit: Nevermind, I have been blind. Last DD mentioned 9th Agust.

They will.

Hmm, the placement of the items seems to suggest that organic pop growth is tied into amount of available housing. That's just because it's right beside the "robot assembly" resource that we can be reasonably sure drives robot construction. Hopefully that's just a coincidence. I don't think it would be good to have people having more babies just because there is some free housing. Maybe a small effect?

Free housing results in higher immigration pull, but does not affect normal growth.

@Wiz The screenshot with the droid Technology mentions robots gaining the ability to work in new Jobs. Does that mean there are only Robot Pops that get upgraded, instead of Robot --> Droid --> Synth Transition?

Thanks. Do pops still immigrate as whole units or can they split?
Migraiton is now a positive or negative growth/declien modifier. This was already shown.

Do the ethics of new pops formed from immigration match the pops they come from?
There already was a Ethics attraction from Migraiton Pacts and Defense Pacts/Federations. Was since 1.5 came around.

Will there be a way to intentionally stop growth of the empires founder species so one can leave some room for xenos or robots ?
I asume the most fitting pops for any job will grow/be assembeled, pushing your founder species out of their jobs into joblessness. From where they can then Mgirate.

Now I am tremendously curious about how will jobs be gained or lost, as well as the effects of unemployement and happiness (manteinance level for synths). Something tells me that late game economies are going to look awfully similar to servitor empires, with robots doing all the work and organic unemployed organic pops being just... deadweight, I guess.

Yeah. Since the upgrade is automatic anyway and we replaced production penalties with job restructions, having them as different species is now pretty pointless and would just cause bugs.
