I'm playing as France ATM. Haven't seen any issues with the way it unfolds currently but I will play UK next.
Currently their is a '5' unrest and '5' belligerence penalty plus some -ve relation hits.
TBH if Churchill was appointed PM in place of Baldwin, there would be some major ructions:

# UK would be less concerned with Japanese actions in China - this conceivably could reduce the effectiveness of the Burma road - this might change after Nanking
# a more difficult one to assess would be a possibly less effective choice of cabinet ministers.
If playing as UK and you really want to go for the 1938 DoW on Germany at Munich you can go for the interventionist approach. The 3 free shifts will just about get you there anyway.

I should add I only tested two games with UK with Churchill appointed. 1 opted for no agreement... and so it begins, the other went to Munich anyway Peace for our time :).

If Churchill comes into office in 1937, wouldn't he suffer the same fate as Chamberlain 1940 when things go downhill on the continent, being replaced by someone else?ENG event 820063 should then be changed as well.
Also Churchill would not have the same "Savior of the nation" effect in 1940 if in power since 1937, so event 820067 (Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat) could be deactivated.
 
Hi,

I've been having some technical and work issues so haven't been posting much lately. However, I do have rather a lot of material that I've worked for a 0.70 release. This mainly focuses on a revised Province file with numerous other files adjusted to support as well as a substantial number of other smaller fixes and enhancements.

What I'd like to do is release 0.62.8 as 0.62 and hold all content changes till 0.70 goes to Beta. This should not be long as I just have a few more files to fix and I have some spare time for the next few weeks. So likely start would be right after the first of the year.

I've made fixes for all of the last 2 posts worth of stuff to the 0.70 files I'm working. IMO these fixes don't warrant a new build for 0.62 as they are extremely minor from an actual game play perspective. So I'd still publish 0.628 as the gold version of 0.62 and call it done.

Yes vermin, the LAA AA that should be buildable for CV/BB/CA/TP (maybe BC). Apparently, "someone" was working to further modify some of the naval brigades and wasn't finished, or perhaps didn't test it. I may have found something, but I have to test my hypothesis.

Pretty sure the LAA portion is WAD based on my last game as ENG. It is intended to be unable to build these until you are at FM. This reflects the actual practice where light AAA armament was vastly increased after hostilities broke out and the original configurations were found to be inadequate.

AFAIR the aditional ship LAA brigade has always been only available upon FM, at least since 0.50 or so (can't remember exactly). Only the cruiser AA conversion is available earlier once the tech is researched.

dec , can you post the changes made regarding the wrong minister/techteam IDs in events? I'd like to fix it for my .08 game
Did you also fix the issues from post #58 and #62?

HUN inc file with a small air unit name correction

EDIT:
I had an issue with GER 370375, the german unit placed in Zagreb gets teleported back to Berlin shortly after creation. It may be an issue of having the alliance command after the unit placement. YUG 880027 may cause a crash under certain prereqs as it removes specific units without using an existence check.

extra supply bug

whats about that bug: if you have, for example, an army unit with three divisions and only one of the divisions has extra supply. if you now move over the green arrow whose symbolize the extra supply in the province overview (the screen where you can move division between units or merge units together) the game freezes and an error message opens up in the game or outside on the desktop. is that a bug from hoi or aod itself?? or from me? or from core2 mod?

how to normalize the speed of the game than that?

This change will allow you to both load and play the game much faster, but it only works if you use counters instead of sprite. Note that the file to be left alone in those folders do not have to be the one mentioned. Any of the other files will do as long as their file name match.

Open HoI 2 directory\GFX\map\units.
Backup this folder and its subfolder just in case you want to play with sprite again later or if anything wrong happens.
Delete all files in HoI 2 directory\GFX\map\units except "T-BATTLESHIP A-WALK C-MIN L-1 D-NW.spr".
Open HoI 2 directory\GFX\map\units\bmp.
Delete all files in HoI 2 directory\GFX\map\units\bmp except "T-BATTLESHIP A-WALK C-MIN L-1 D-NW.bmp".
Start the game and feel the speed.
