Thank you once again to all that stopped by with congrats and for the nod itself. And as the week is up, it is time for another Character WritAAR of the Week. I believe this selection a fun one (and well within @El Pip's allowances.) I give to you:

Szaman-Cesarz Strasz of the Gryfita Empire in @Superstorm's Wings of Faith, Wings of Fury - A Slavic Pagan Revival AAR in CK2. While I don't want to ruin anything, let us just say the last few updates have had some fun with madness. ;)

An excellent work and a great character. Congrats @Superstorm!

Ah I wasn't expecting this! Thank you so much for the nomination @coz1 and to everyone who has sent their thanks.

Trying to include character in a history book has been an interesting challenge and I'll admit, Strasz has been fun to write. He had a pretty good arc (which I won't spoil) and one I tried to make sense in terms of reality. Working the 'The Turnip Act' into something that made sense was hilarious and annoying at the same time lol.

As ever, I appreciate the support from everyone. Updates are slow and steady as my mental health is still an obstacle but I'm glad people are still enjoying the work. I always worry quality dips over time but the main thing is that it's both fun to write and clearly fun to read!

Thanks again to everyone one and I'll have a nomination lined up. Never would have thought what started as a mental health exercise would have me getting nominations and being part of a lovely supportive community. :)

So, as promised - my nomination.

I still don't have much time or energy outside to read much but with my own nomination I made sure to set some time aside. What followed was me spending a lot of time reading in my bed one story in particular whose author deserves much praise. I pick @Macavity116's excellent character Cali - mainly within Year of Hell - A Stellaris War Story.

Captivating, intriguing and in general a very real telling of someone's reaction within a warzone. Planetary combat is almost entirely ignored in Stellaris and this story offers a well-written war story. Moka is up there as well, but if I have to pick the one hah.

I think it is slightly less than a year since this recieved a nomination, however it is close and I want to give the story some well-deserved praise.

Great choice @Superstorm ! Fantastic to see @Macavity116 and Cali getting some notice. I'm told @Cali D'Kara actually has the ability to drop into a conversation, as she has done once or twice before. Maybe you've found a way to summon her @Superstorm .

Oh my gosh! I think this is the first time I got nominated for the same character more than once. I didn't realize Cali D'Kara was working out so well with readers!

Per my own personal rules, the next chapter of my currently ongoing story will be posted immediately.

THE BROKEN GATES

Fantastic to see @Macavity116 and Cali getting some notice.
Cali has now won this award twice and been nominated for Best Character of the Year once. I may have to shell out some money for high quality artwork of her now.

Thoughts of the wonderful unstressed young ladies, Cali and Moka, are always welcome. Thank you @Superstorm and congratulations on your award, @Macavity116!
Thanks for reading Year of Hell, by the way. Since then, I've visited Georgia and come face-to-face with that Kudzu you were talking about. Terrifying how quickly it overruns the land like that.

Celebratory chats with @Cali D'Kara will have to wait. Things are happening.

Congratulations, again @Macavity116 . Looking forward to the new adventure and how The Broken Gates morphs out of what has started as Last Days of the Emerald Isle in CK3. Also, wondering if this experimental AAR is going to hop sub-forums?
