Any RP heavy games any more?

So its been years since I was active on these boards but I got feeling nostalgic for the old RP games. The one that stuck out to me was Agorath https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...gorath-and-the-maegi-prophecy.702683/page-113
But there were many others back then and there usually seemed to be at least one going on. They seem to have died out though.

Anyone else remember the kind of thing I'm talking about? Any other boards where they are going strong, or interest in getting something going again?

I remember those games fondly (though I have definitely become better at them over time). I don't really know what happened to this community, but I would be interesting to do something again! Agorath was awesome (though I only played the later games). I've done some other RPs, mostly on Discord/Reddit servers, but they haven't been connected with the old group.

This forum used to be alive with games being hosted pretty regularly. Nowadays though, it's moved pretty much entirely to the website Sufficient Velocity, in their Grand Strategy Roleplay subsection. A wider playerbase and greater interaction led...

This thread from nearly 5 years ago explains what happened. Basically, most of the players of the RP heavy games chose to go to another forum (Sufficient Velocity) as it had a larger player base.

I figured they must have gone somewhere. Looks like most of the people I remember from Agorath are gone (it was a decade ago).

I was pretty much only involved in the first Agorath, but it was one of the most fun writing projects I'd had. I couldnt keep up with the productivity and speed of some of the other players though.

Other ones I remember are a pirate game (where I rescued a governors daughter and had a feud with a norse throwback), some of the IOTs (especially Peschawar Lancers), and then there were my own games which I really liked but was never able to keep running.
