Senator Mahdi ibn Tarek (unaffiliated)
*Sipping a cup of mulled Muscat and looking over trade charts of the Mediterranean when he receives the letter*
Interesting. A larger fleet could serve to protect Rosetta from both the Timurids and the 'Agnabi, and the increased reform of the military will help create a balanced and diversified administration.

Senator Iskandar Ouranos (unaffiliated):
For the Imperium to spend so much on the navy... it disgusts me to think of doing such a thing as a army man myself. But if it would mean a more united unaffiliated front, should I swallow my pride? Pylaeus's idea of having a military focus does hold some merit however. I will go meet the Senator in person to try to convince him of a better alternative.*
My fellow unaffiliated senator,
It seems that the unaffiliated were a great power and a Senatorial force to be reckoned with in this Senate. Perhaps we should nominate a Speaker of the unaffiliated and and create a Senatorial organization to further direct the unaffiliated?
Salaam,
Mahdi Ibn Tarek Rashid, a fellow unaffiliated senator
