The Inossi
The discussions continued ... The Paradisian councillor also brought a migration treaty to the table.
"Following your wars with the Sirussians ... or should we say, Rhonians, we are well aware that you recently defeated them. It is a bold move to think that they will just accept you as their rulers. They will either mutiny, either just leave to their old homes in the Rhoniam Empire. So, either way, you lose. They will not accept you as their rulers mostly because of the continuous wars you had in the last hundreds of years. We had our share of battles with the Rhonians, yes, but the Rhonians from Sirus were not a part of it. I am sure that they might agree to come and live among us. They are brawny, strong, good working force. As you can see, we don't have the physique for manual work. We do our work up there (points to the head), and this, believe me, it is also as hard work as the physical work. It brings depression, anxiety ..." ... the Paradisian was interrupted by the shouting of the door, another Alien has joined the room.
"So these are the new species to join the community (saying that as he was starring at me). You don't know what you just brought on yourselves. Soon enough you will wish you never found out about us. You will wish that Earth was all you got. You are not prepared for the terrors of this galaxy. Your uplifters, the Lucarians, are gone. All their signals went off in your systems. But yes, I suppose it is natural for the uplifted to fight against the uplifters." (I think he is referring to the Fourth Reich space)
"Ambassador, please excuse the Inossi ambassador. The Inos Administration, while not being an official member of the Council, it is an associate member. As you can see, the wars against the Malteryians and the Xha'Till have made them quite rigid."
"It isn't the wars that made us like that, and you are well aware of that. The terrors our people have seen .. you know it very well, Asterian councillor, and yet you dismiss us. Tell me, Human ambassador. Have you ever seen a creature as big as a star?"
"We .. we did not, but .."
"Good. You will know this universe for what it truly is, when you will see a thing like that. ... You know, you are not a new species to us, but you sure look quite different than the last time we visited you. It was some thousands of years ago. You used to live in caves, did you know that? ... (stares more closely to the ambassador) .. the Rhonians and the Asterians weren't the first into that system. And as far as we know, we weren't either. We just came to monitor your evolution as a species. Don't worry, we didn't play 'gods' as the rest in this room.
"AMBASSADOR, THAT'S ENOUGH!" ... shouted the Arcturian councillor.
"Trust only in yourselves." (whispered into my ear as he was going to leave the room)
"Please forgive us. The Inossi always were always difficult. (points to the map on the wall) Look. What you see here, is our galaxy. We will try to introduce you to this foreign world that you just entered." ... said the Asterian.
"This sector of the galaxy was always in conflict. The Thousand Years War has just ended. The Valerians and the Meridians have always been at war. Neither side remembered why the conflict has started. See, that is what wars make out of people. Too less thinking, too much killing damages the brain." .. said the Paradisian.
"The conflict ended just recently, as the Rhonian Emperor, together with the Arthell and the Xardasians just intervened. The Arthell initially fought as mercenaries for the Meridians, but they turned against them as soon as the Meridians didn't pay them. So, this territory in the right and up of the Valerians, used to be under Meridian control.
The Xardasians are an ancient civilisation, we were still in our infancy as a species when they ruled this part of the Galaxy. We do not know the reasons why they isolated themselves like that. This is how we found them when we reached for the stars. They only communicate with the Rhonians, so we don't know that much of them, but we know that they still are strong enough for the Meridians, which were forced to migrate from their old space to this new one, close to the Inossi. The Xardasians did not attack them, they just wished for the Meridians to move up there, in hope that they will be out of reach of the Valerians .. just as the Arthell and the Rhonians are making sure that the Valerians are out of reach of the Meridians.
The Rhonians have played quite a part here, as the peacekeepers of the region. We wonder why they did it though. They could have done it sooner, yet they only did it now."
"As we mentioned earlier, the Inossi are an associate to the Council, we try to help each others as best we could. They are claiming that they've seen space monsters capable of destroying whole worlds. They grew obsessed with it, that's what started the Xha'Till war for instance. The Inossi claimed that one of these space monsters are in the Xha'Till space, so they started to investigate, which lead to the Xha'Till to respond by attacking. The Xha'Till are a syntethic race now, but they used to be organic. Their star cooled down so much that they were forced to adapt themselves by synthetics. That has led to a rebellion .. and now they are a synthethic species. We tried to help, but in vain. The Inossi are claiming that it was the space monster that made the star cool down, and that the Xha'Till are just obeying his will. Quite a theory, but nothing to demonstrate it." ... said the Paradisian.
"The Inossi are also at war with the Malteryians. A highly religious people ... and well, the Inossi are highly a materialistic people. They do not believe in religion. That has lead to some conflicts between them. We had our share of fighting with them. We do not criticise religion, we criticise fanaticism in religion." .. said the Ranoi.
"And here is the Rhonian Empire. A large number of people consider them our natural enemy .. it is true, our relations were always difficult with them. We tried to protect you from their expedition in the Solar System .. they tricked us, unfortunately....which led to all the conflicts you had with the Sirussians. We apologize, once again, for the mistake of our ancestors." Said the Asterian.
"...And while we had our share of conflicts and bad relations, we also had prosperous relations in the last hundreds of years. They also have an embassy here, but the ambassador is not here at the momment. The Emperor that the Lucarians killed in your system .. well, he acknowledged the council as a power to be recognised. As did we with the Rhonian Empire. We had good relations with them, but now with the new Emperor, Radovan ... it is a difficult matter. With all these offensives against the Meridians, Valerians and Lucarians ... our relations are worsened once again." .. said the Paradisian.
"The Rhonians were not alone in the conquest of the Lucarians. They were helped by the Xanderians. A hive mind species. That monster was awakened when the Cindarii left the Arthells and decided to settle to a new home ... that home was already taken. They did not know it at first, until people started dissapearing ... and during the yearly Cindarii "Long Night", the Xanderians attacked in high force while the Cindarii were busy killing themselves."
"What a stupid ceremony. One night each year, the Cindarii are encouraged to kill others and take their belongings, without any penalty or judgement. This is what led to their exile from the Arthell worlds. This is what led to their ban from the Council. We do not need such people among us." ... said the Arcturian.
"It is true .. they did put up a good fight against the Xanderians, but this conflict is still going on to this day, and now, with the fall of the Lucarians, we are afraid that they became a too great of a power....and they are getting close to our own space." ... said the Asterian.
