Azeratii City herself
Azeratii City has long stood as a beacon of power in the East of Ecclestius. Situated in a valley overlooking the ocean, Azeratii is one of the great trade cities of the Empire. Much wealth from threw out the Empire flows to the city. Further more, the Great Slave Docks of Azeratii are known, and feared threw out the Empire. Further more, the Azeratii Guard is known as a disiplened fighting force.
The Vatarians created the city in the Age of Heroes in order to gain great amounts of wealth. They ruled for hundreds of years until, no one is entirely sure when, the Krestarii showed up with an army and layed seige to the city. Forced from their home, no one knows who did it, the Krestatii set out for Azeratii in the hopes of gaining new land. The seige lasted years until the Krestarii made a proposal to the Vatarians. The Vatarians would remain the mayors of the city, but the Krestarii would be their lords. Faced with starvation, the Vatarians surrendered. After only a handfull of revolts, the Krestarii gained firm and total control of the city.
The Krestarii remained in total control of the city until the rise of the City of Vlashian a few decades ago. Vlashian, only a little bit south of Azeratii began to compete for the trade of the region. This was something the Krestarii would not allow. The Lord of Azeratii, Vlasaria Krestarii, raised an army and marched on Vlashian. The 1st Battle of Vlashain went down as the greatest disaster of Azeratii history. Vlasaria lost all most his entire army in an ambush, and even failed to significantly harm the Vlashian army. The Vlashians then marched on Azeratii herself. Laying seige to the city, they demanded its surrender. The new Lord of Azeratii, Jucanian Krestarii, bluntly refused. He then prepared for a long seige. After 7 years, the city still hadn't fallen, but Krestarii was getting desperate. He summoned his comanders and asked for their advice. Clavarian Ploshati, a minor guard captain, came up with a daring plan.
The Vlashians were not expecting to hear a plea for assistance from their own city. Hearing it was under seige by a large army of mercinaries, they broke the seige of Azeratii and marched south. Ploshati was waiting for them. He had used the vast gold reserves of Azeratii to hire an army of mercinaries. This mecinary army was not also the only card that Krestarii had to play. He left the city, and met up with a von Saxon army. Krestarii had manged to succure an allience with the von Saxon family, and gained control of their army. The 2nd Battle of Vlashian was a disastor for the city. Caught between two armies, they were smashed to pieces. Not satisfied, Krestarii then procided to sack the City of Vlashian. The Sack of Vlashian has been remembered for its brutality and efficency. First, all the valubules were seized. Then the entire remaining population was sent into slavery, many were killed during the inistal sacking. Then, with all the stuff of value gone from the city, it was completely raised. The ground around it was then salted. For his loyalty, Clavarian Ploshati was made Guard-Commander of Krestarii, leader of her city guard. The fate of Vlashian has been a warning to all those who cross the Krestarii.

Name: Armas Coamenel (Deceased)
Age: 35
Trait: Great Diplomat
Race: Elf
Location: Coamenel Province, Galadriel
Heir: Elessar Coamenel (age: 10)
Daughter: Nienna Coamenel (age: 14) and Linwë (age: 5)
Vassals: Tuor Sáralondë
Galdor Oronar
Champion: Galdor Oronar (Deceased)

Bio: House Coamenel has long held the province of Coamenel, home to the city of Coal (pronounced Co-Al), the largest port city in northern Galadriel and house Coamenel’s seat of power. A Coamenel has sat on the throne in Coal since the Age of Heroes. Elves had originally been immortal during the age of Mythos, but ever since the Creator left the world their life span has been shrinking, with the current average being only 110 years old. But elves who spend their lives in Galadriel have an average lifespan of 170, most attribute this to the residual Light that clings to the forest. As a result most elves are very religious, but they follow the Light more than any specific "gods".

House Coamenel was founded by Eöl Coamenel, a great mage in the Age of Heroes. He founded the great Kingdom of Galadriel and ruled it form Coal, on the Throne of the Forest. Despite border skirmishes with the Dwarves and Imperials his kingdom was mostly peaceful, that is until Ecclesiasties called on him to fight the Dark one. Eöl went and fought and saw the great magic that Ecclesiasties was able to call on at the end. Eöl spent the next 200 years trying to gather such power, but he felt magic slipping from the world even as he did. Eöl played a key role in the formation of the Golden Empire, and he even served as the first ArchMage for a time, erecting the Tower of Light, but he longed for Galadriel and returned home soon after taking the position. Over the centuries the Kingdom of Galadriel’s power weakened, and by the time Argus III usurped the crown it was little more than a ceremonial trinket, a relic of the power that existed in the Age of Heroes.

Thirty-five years ago in the Age of Empire, Armas Coamenel was born in the Temple of Light and Eöl. From an early age Armas had minor magical abilities, nothing like the powers of the Age of Heroes, simple tricks mostly, but they reminded him of his lineage. Armas spent most of his youth studying history, specifically elvish history, and between that and his charismatic nature he gained a great understanding of diplomacy. Once Armas turned 21 he did as was traditional of all Coamenel heirs and went deep into the forest to reflect on the glory of the Light. There he meditated for three days and nights until he was visited by Eöl. Eöl told him that it was his destiny, not only to reunite the Kingdom of Galadriel, but to one day sit on the Golden Throne of the Empire.

The next morning when Armas returned home he found that his father had died over the night. Armas was inaugurated a week later, and began ruling from the Throne of the Forest. Master Armas was young by both Human and Elf standards, and selected one of his banner men, Galdor Oronar, to help him rule the province. Galdor was his father’s champion and a mentor to Armas, he had both a brilliant mind for strategy and a fast and powerful sword arm, even for an elf. Galdor also had a daughter, Larien, a beautiful, smart, and funny woman of 19 years. Armas married her the day after he was inaugurated.

When Essos the Fat took the throne, Armas began rallying his troops to participate in the rebellions, and he was at the gates of the Golden City when it surrendered the rebel forces. Armas has joined the Assembly of Lords with the hope that he will take the Golden Throne for himself, or at the very least reestablish the Kingdom of Galadriel as a meaningful force in the Empire, under his rule of course.

((Let me know if there are any lore issues, I tried to read everything, but I may have missed something.))

Update

Champion is Elrohir Oronar after the death of Galdor.

Larien is Regent of Coamenel following the death of Armas. She is a Great Diplomat

Name: Larien Coamenel
Age: 33
Trait: Great Diplomat
Race: Elf
Location: Coamenel Province, Galadriel
Heir: Nienna Coamenel (age: 15)
Bio: Larien was born to Galdor Oronar, champion of Coamenel. As a result she spent most of her life growing up in the castle with several members of the nobility. She faced harassment from noble children due to her lineage, or lack thereof. Despite this, she worked hard her entire life, she particularly enjoyed studying economics and numbers, but anything that provided her with a challenge was enough to satisfy her. Larien has little patience for those who would invoke a family name as a reason for receiving special treatment.

While she enjoyed studying she spent a great deal of her free time adventuring and exploring the city with Armas. They had been friends since they were in diapers. Once they entered their teenage years they secretly began dating, Armas unsure that his father would accept him with someone who wasn't a noble. Larien loved his free spirit, idealism, and joyful nature, and following the death of his father when he asked her to marry him she immediately said yes. They married the day he was inaugurated and conceived Nienna that night.

Larien helped Armas rule the kingdom and watched after the children until the collapse of the empire. When Armas left to join the Lords Assembly Larien was given near total control over the day to day operations of the province. Following Armas's death she has been trying to make sure Nienna will be ready to take the throne, getting to know the other lords of light, and organizing the vassalization of Mirrorwater, all while dealing with the death of her husband.

Dwarven Pantheon
The Gods are put in categories. From Top to bottom.Top is good and bottom is evil. There are seven gods in the dwarven pantheon, with different numbers among heresies. The closer to the top or bottom a god or godess is,the more power he or she has.

The Creator of Light
Kilmorph,Mother Nature
Thraltmor,God of Fire,Metalworking,Stoneworking and Patron of Golems
Terach,God of Enchantments and Patron of Golems
---------------------------------------
Garir,God of Decievement and Lies
Dhurth,God of Death and Poisoning
The Dark One

It is not needed to talk about the Creator of Light and the Dark one,as they are known by everyone.Instead,we shall analyse the other gods and godesses.

Kilmorph:Mother Nature or Rune Mother in the dwarven language.Kilmorph is said to have been the Creator's wife, giving to him 2 healthy god-children,Thraltmor and Terach, which mean Stone Crafter and Teacher accordingly. She is,according to dwarves, everything that consists of nature. From the feeble sheep to the vengeful lighting, from the calm forests to the deadly wasteland. She uses her power with dignity and for the greater good and not for personal gain. She is for the dwarves the personification of pure good, second to the Creator of Light.
Thraltmor:Means Stone Crafter in the dwarven language.According to the dwarven mythology and legends,he is the brother of Terach.Unlike his brother,Thraltmor chose to edit objects according to their physicals properties and not their magical, becoming as such the Co-Patron of Golems, together with Terach. He is a beloved God among the dwarves and often appears in their econography as a tall smithy crafting various items such as obsidian swords, adamantine axes etc.
Terach:Means Teacher in the dwarven language. He is a child of Kilmorph and brother of Thraltmor. He is the Co-Patron of Golems, together with his brother.Terach chose to learn the magic of conjuration and enchantment, creating the first Golem out of adamant, which normally is a material that deflects magical spells. He imbued as such the very first golem with sentience, but seeing the destructive events his creation caused,he banished it to the Astral plane and forbode from the dwarves to ever create a golem with it's own concioussness. It is said that when the Dark one comes again,he will bring the Adamantine Golem with him to destroy the land's inhabitants. He is said to appear as an old man wearing silk robes with an unknown symbol in his hands.
Garir:He does not really have an appearance, since the powers which he has grant him the ability to not be understood as an entity.Mostly shown as the shadow blocking people and other gods from reaching the good and the truth. The life and deeds of Garir are indeed something shrouded in mystery and darkness.Tradition has it,that he was born out of the darkness in the peoples mind. From there,he gathered more and more corruption from the evil deeds that were done, being able to become a living entity.Only the brightest of the brightest can resist his shroud of lies and Gods can be easily affected by him. When he attempted to shroud the Creator's infallible logic,he was exiled from the Astral Plane into the Mortal world.
Dhurth:Tall
-sized hooded figure, with only a slight green edge and a hard to see empty face with red floating eyes. One of the major ways to recognize him are also his always bare skeletal feet, seemingly swimming in black water. On his back he has a big staff whose upper end is a green-metal Sickle, while the lower end looks like a human bone. When the First God's were created, Dhurth always was a step aside them, not having any children with another goddess, although Dhurth is said to have a special liking for the Sea, as the route to the Astral Plane, the place where dead souls have to transverse to go to a god's realm,is also called the "Sea of Spirits". Dhurth has and will always be struggling with the other gods, as he sees it as "unfair", to only be the deliverer of the souls, while their realms are their next home. Priests of Dhurth are using hallucinogenics as medium to get into contact with him and as a way to "peak" into the Route of Death. Mysterious prophecies also fear Dhurth, for it is said that when he finally achieves to storm the Underworld, no souls shall arrive on a god's realm and as such their torment will never end.

Ussually the dwarven gods are regarded by other races as exotic and often thought of as demonic, leading the other races to often distrust the Dwarves.

Name: Arl Arnulf «Redbeard» Stronghelm
Age: 35
Trait: Great Diplomat
Race: Nord
Location: Stronghelm Province, Norseland
Heir: Arnulf «The Young» Stronghelm (19 years old)
Daughter: Lyanna Stronghelm (16 years old)
Vassals:
Master Sigurd Leve
Sir Aethelwolf Karre, the Knight of Karreholm
Champion: Arnulf «Redbeard» Stronghelm
Bio: Arnulf the Redbeard belongs to an ancient house, that was established by one of the most famous generals of North, Lord Arne the Valiant, last of the line of the Northern Kings. His house has always been known for bravery, honesty – and loyalty to the Empire. The father of Arnulf, Arl Peder Stronghelm, was killed, while leading an expedition into the wilds, when Arnulf was only ten years old, and he was educated by his uncle, Edwin Stronghelm, who was an advisor to the Archmage of the Empire. When he was a young boy, Arnulf served as a page at the Imperial court. Then, as a knight and commander, he joined the army of Emperor Essos. However, when the behaviour of the Emperor became erratic, and he started to arrest «suspicious» noblemen for no reasons at all, the Arl opposed him – and was put into prison. Then he managed to pay a ransom and returned to his Northern lands. He supported the removal of the Emperor – though he felt really bad about the situation.

Arnulf Stronghelm is a big and muscled man, with a bushy red beard and ferocious features. He seems to be a strict man, but his heart is rather kind. He is well-loved by his vassals, because he is a just ruler – though he values order and discipline. He is a devout follower of Light and supporter of the Imperial idea. He want to do everything he can to save the unity of the Empire – and make Northern lands and his family great. His dream is to resurrect the Northern Kingdom, as an integral part of the Empire.

On Elven Religion

The elves’ religion is very unlike that of the other races in the Golden Empire. There is no pantheon of gods or goddesses like those of the dwarves, there is only the Light. Since the beginning of time, Galadriel has been imbued with Light Magic, but when the creator to left the world, that magic changed. Now the aura of the Light saturates the forest, a power left by the Creator.

The elves have a special affinity for the Light, and have a special connection with it. This is thought to be a result of something called the Light Inside, a spark of the light that resides in all elves. This spark is what is thought to give the elves increased health and speed, but it can begin to fade in elves who have not at least made a pilgrimage to the forest of Galadriel in recent years. The Light Inside allows the elves to connect to the Light through meditation. This can bring peace to an elves mind, as well as making them feel more in tune with nature. Those outside of Galdriel can still feel the Light and in some cases have been able to connect to it, but it requires great focus that only a few are capable of. As such the elves view it as a crime equal to death to restrict someone from being able to connect to the Light.

For many reasons, such as the health benefits and the ability to connect to it and feel more in touch with nature, the elves view the Light as being the source of goodness in the world. As a result the elves wish to spread the Light to other people and places, for example some wish to purge the darkness from the Haunted Forest and create a second Forest of Light. As a result of the nature of the Light, attempts to bring it to others is inherently peaceful. Most elves seek greater connection to the Light, and their priests are capable of reaching out and interacting with Light, rather than just connecting to it through the Light Inside.

The elves recognize the Creator as the source of the life, but do not really worship him. Similarly, there is a great deal of reverence for important ancestors, as can be seen with the Temple of Light and Eöl, but it is not true worship like in other regions.

((I wanted to get some firm stuff for the elves religion, so this might seem a bit rough. If anyone wants to make an elf that doesn’t follow the Light I can localize it as something more recognized in the north or something.))

A Meeting with Slavers

Armas was riding along the coast with Galdor, as the wind swept his hair back and his horse whinnied. They were heading to the forest city of Amonkadi, held by Tuor Sáralondë, to inform him that they would be heading to the Golden City, and that he should be ready if called to act as a diplomat or marshal.

On the way they would be passing through the small fishing village of Melicar. As Armas approached the village he saw smoke billowing up from around the bend and began hearing cries of fear and panic. Jumping off his horse, Armas dashed around the bend with Galdor right behind him. What he saw was a sight that hadn’t been seen in the province of Coamenel in over three decades.

Two medium sized slave ships sat about 200 feet out to sea, with their black flags flapping in the breeze. Armas turned to the village and saw several elves, captured in nets, being dragged into the sea by the slavers. The slavers were large filthy looking men, no doubt from the uncivilized Norselands, they were covered in furs and wielded large battle axes. Armas’s eyes filled with rage and he let out a terrifying scream of pure hatred as he drew his ancestral sword from its sheathe. The long, slightly curved sword caught the light of the sun on its white metal blade and Armas charged.

Armas knew that Galdor had accompanied him on the trip to keep him safe from harm, but he didn’t care. He was on the nords in an instant; before any of them could react Armas had already pierced the closest slaver’s heart. He danced like the wind between the slavers, stabbing one, disemboweling another, they never stood a chance. He moved like a blur, darting from one slaver to the next, with the speed and elegance that only an elf could wield. Within a minute ten slavers lied dead on the beach, and Armas stood over them, panting, covered in their blood. Without a word Galdor went and cut free the elves who had been captured, then went down the coast to find their horses. Armas checked the leader’s body and saw a ledger which showed that these elves would have been shipped to Azeratii City.

Armas washed his cloak and his blade off in the ocean then sat down on the beach and searched for the Light Inside. Twenty minutes later Galdor retuned with the horses and the pair set off for Amonkadi. Armas turned his head over his shoulder and said to the villagers, “Use them to catch your fish,” as he turned back around he saw a child who had been hiding behind his mother’s skirts. Thanks to him that boy still had a mother.

Galdor rode along behind Armas, while he hoped that Armas would be more cautious in the future he could understand his hatred. Armas's mother had been taken by slavers when he was only three years old. After that his father began a fierce two year anti-slaver campaign and they stopped raiding Coamenel in favor if easier prey. They must have decided that with Armas in the Golden City their raids could be continued without serious resistance.

OOC:A rivalry based on slavery?Lets hope we don't have a civil war too because of that :p

Cultures of Ecclestius
Not many people outside of Ecclestius know this, but the Imperial race is divided into two ethnicities. The more famous, southern ethnicity is known simply as the Imperials. Their names typically end in vowels or flow in a relaxed style. Examples would be the Krestarii and Crimsan. The Southerners live a relaxed and more urban lifestyle compared to their northern neighbors. Their area of Ecclestius is well suited for growing tomatoes and raising livestock. Many Imperial cities are famous for trade, including the slave trade of Azeratii city. Overall, the Southern Imperials do not worry too much about survival and focus on business and culture. The most accomplished artists in the entire Empire come from the Southern Imperials.

The lesser known ethnicity is the men who live in the northern portion of Ecclestius. These men are known as the Saxo-Deutsch after the two most prominent families. Their names are harsher and commoners do not receive a last name. Common first names are Leopold, Wilhelm, and Hans. The nobles usually use the name of the region they are from as their last name, such as Gunther von Saxon or Hans van Deutsch. The Saxo-Deutsch farm wheat and raise livestock. Sausages and chesses are the most common food besides bread. The Saxo-Deutsch tend to look unfavorably upon slavery, but embrace serfdom wholeheartedly. They say the difference is that men are not sold; they are bound to their ancestral lands.

The von Saxons

The von Saxon family is one of the two largest and most important of the Saxo-Deutsch family. They were founded by a hero from the Saxon Province named Ludwig von Saxon. Ludwig fought under Ecclesiastes. The von Saxon line became the most powerful family in the north. 70 years ago Freidrich von Saxon was the Count von Saxon. The City-State of Vlashian rose and contended for trade with Azeratii City. Freidrich approached the Lords of the City to acquire full rights to trading von Saxon wheat in the city. Then, one of Freidrich’s spies reported that the Vlashians were stealing half of the wheat and using grass to fool customers. The half the Vlashians stole they would do the same thing, but not pay the von Saxons. So Freidrich gathered his army and marched on Vlashian. Before they arrived they met the Krestarii army under Jucanian Krestarii. They marched with him and utterly destroyed Vlashian. The von Saxons would remain friends with the Krestarii family and would trade their wheat only through Azeratii City. Gunther and Asharian would become great childhood friends. Gunther was like a big brother to Asharian. They had a bond that was not threatened until the rebellion. Gunther supported the rebels, while Asharian, afraid of losing control of his city, backed the Emperor. Gunther hopes to patch his relationship with Asharian in their shared desire for reform in the Empire.

The Golden City

64785-bigthumbnail.jpg

Big, glorious, magnificent and full of shit in every corner. This once glorious golden city have fallen into decline together with its emperors, it is a shadow of its former glory and it clearly shows. During the civil wars that have wrecked the former empire it has been sieged and unsieged time and time again, the walls are damage, the house are damaged and multiple living quarters are destroyed and unlivable in. Sadly that is where many of the cities orphans and homeless people live, people crippled in the civil wars or simple families left from the soldiers. The emperor has failed to support them and the city gets more enclosed by darkness and disease by every passing day.

The city has a long and proud history, thought within recent years the history has been more a story of decline. The city was first founded 1000 years ago after the defeat of the dark one, since then it has been the imperial capital and the center of the empire. While it stood for a beacon for many centuries its decline started roughly 300 years ago under the rule of Argrus III.
Argrus III decided to usurp the kingdoms of his fellow men and started major civil wars, many of these wars depleted the manpower of the army, as the army fell it needed replacement which was here that the government first turned to the poor for soldiers since the fall of the Dark one. As the empire fell into further decline so did the Golden City, while the city might have stood strong for another two centuries despite the constant civil wars it would not last forever.

A bit over a century ago under the rule of Argrus V the Golden city came under siege for the first time in almost 1000 years. During this the city was under siege for about 7 months until help finally arrived, the king lifted the siege and crushed the rebels but sadly it would turn out that the golden city would be sieged time an and time again over the coming decade.
Roughly 20 years ago under the rule of Essos the Fat the rebellion of the lords happened, at that point the imperial army was depleted due to constant warfare and famine. It was here that Essos decided to pull on the poor of the Golden city to refill his armies, while he might have won the war it turned out to be at horrible losses to his armies. Because of this the Golden City went into a shortage of adult males to work in the city, this in turn led to higher prices due to a lack of work force resulting in many of the homeless poor you see on the streets of today’s Golden city.

Many families lost their providers when their husbands and fathers died in the civil war, this forced women into prostitution to be able to provide for themselves and their children. This have given the city many brothels and a big sex industry.

The city has 14 living quarters. The Imperial Hill, The Pastian Plains, The slums of Sver, The slums of the Harbor Quarter, The Harbor, The Outskirts Quarters, The Dwarven Quarter, The Elven Quarter, The Northmen, The Slave market, The Marketplace, The Military Quarter and the Cathedral square.

The Imperial Hill is where the Nobility lives, it is also where the Assembly of Lords meet to discuss the topics. This place also house the Imperial palace and the Tower of Light. The Imperial palace is where to Emperor used to reside, now after the dissolution it has become the house of the one ruling the city.

The Pastian Plains are the places where most merchants and craftsmen place their homes, it is a wealthier part of the city and tends to do very well.

The Slumbs of Sver and the Harbor Quarter is where most of the poor lives, it is in these places where you will find disease and famine everyone where you look, it is also here where riots often happen.

The Harbor is where all the sea trade flows into the city and onwards towards the Marketplace.

The Outskirts Quarters is where you will often find the poor as well, while they are not quite as poor as the poor in the city, the people living here tends to have a home to live in.

The Dwarven Quarter is where you will find the Dwarfs living and here you can most of the time find good armor and weapons.

The Elven Quarter is where the elves live, here is a mixture of slaves and free elves within the city, normally you can find good craft of jewelry and bows here.

The Northmen Quarter is a place where Northmen lives and you are most of the time able to find mercenaries up here.

The Slave market is the some of the worst parts of the city, while it might be the rich that takes most advantage of it they are hardly here. It is mostly one of their staff who comes for the slaves, in recent years an increase in sex slaves have also happened, most who buys sex slaves buys younger Elven girls and it has seen a boom in the trade of these girls.

The Marketplace is the only place in the city where you can find the rich, middle and poor in the same area. It is here that you will find all the stuff you are looking for in everyday life and for special occasions, it is one of the most important areas in the city and is often heavily guarded.

The military Quarter is where the guards and armies reside.

The Cathedral square is where the Grand Cathedral of the Golden city is located, it is also where every religious occasion happens

Outside the city gates of the Golden city.

The Nobles are still living at large upon the Imperial hill. It is the nobles that are at a large part to blame for the decline of the city, they kept taking the money from funds to help the poor, they bought property and set the rents at a ridiculous level. When the poor coudnt pay they then threw them onto the streets causing massive amounts of homeless and a lot of houses just stand empty.
The nobles have then use these houses and demolished some to build new mansions on them for them, their families and their bastard sons.

The middle classes are living with a very different experience depending on where they are in the city, they normally have their houses in The Pastian plains. While some might have smaller homes on the Imperial Hill or bigger ones in the Slum quarters they don’t tend to be there often, rather stay near their equals and enhance their craft, they get to see both its greatness and its weakness. They are in charge of the city trade and thus handle with both the rich and the poor, while they have also suffered during the recent decline of the city it hasn't be as bad for most of them. Due to their skill many have managed to pay the rent put up by the nobles and still be able to pay for food, while many might still have trouble making it pass the days need they still seem to be fairly healthy.

The poor liter the Slums in filth and make the side streets their beds, while the few who still have a house lives in the Outskirts of the city, they live in a horrible existence and don’t tend to live for long. They steal and bring sickness and plague into the city, some nobles would prefer to spend an afternoon with a slave rather than a poor. Most of the poor have within the recent decades gotten into worse conditions, with the civil wars and specially the war of The Lords of The House.

Symbol of Azeratii City

Asharian Krestarii, Lord of Azeratii, sat on his throne. Before him were several merchants were droning on about conflicting bids on harbor rights, or something of the sort. Asharian was bored out of his mind. To make matters worse, his only other thing to do in the day was to meet with the Cortorii, a powerful Slaver Family. The balance of power between the Krestarii, and the equally powerful Slaver Families, was very thin. The Krestarii controled the city guard, 6,000 strong, but the Slavers had mercenary forces that were combinged were much larger than the city guard. The centeries old balance of power was, the Slavers would pay taxes, fallow Krestarii laws, control the slaves themselves, and not harm other trades. The Krestarii in return, would not poke their nose in Slaver buisness, and not create laws that restricted the Slave Trade. Krestarii also often had to fold to Slaver demands as well. The Cortorii were some of the worst Slavers, they opposed most other trade than slaves, and were one of the main families that raided elf lands. They also did not like Asharian very much. That made working with them difficult, and it always pushed Asharian's negotation abilities to the limits. Taking his leave, Asharian departed to meet with the Cortorii.

Fritorious Cortorii was waiting for him at the Slave Docks. The Slave Docks were very diffrent from the other docks of the city. They had a large wall surrionding them, patroled by City Guards men in their gold tented armour. Bellow, the Slaves would be unloaded, inspected, put in chains, then marched to the slave barracks. Fritorious was in charge of the mercinary armies of the Cortorii, and loved to annoy Asharian, something Asharian loved to do back. Today Fritorious wanted to complian about Elven resistance to his raids. Asharian was very happy that the elves were annoying the Cortorii, but unfortunitly, it ment getting an earfull about how much the slavers needed the Azeratii navy (which was un true). They still liked to complian. After telling Cortorii off, Asharian went back to the palace for much needed rest. He was about to go to sleep when he heard of the arival of some Elf Lord.
