As The Masquerade Pact comes to fruition, the Swedish and Polish armies assembling to descend upon the Prussian lowlands. Though as the call to arms is being made to friends all over the Prussian tribes, Romow of the Paguddi refuses to lend his help. However even with that we do not stand alone, even our tributaries realize none of us can stand alone against the Cross worshippers.
And even so, several Prussian tribes offer their support to defend against the invaders. The Waarmi, the Sasnis and the Kuilis raise their banners and march quickly to meet up with our Chieftain.
Our new allies the Sasnis report they spotted King Boleslaw on the other side of the Vistula river with his Royal army but not so eager to cross it yet, seemingly waiting for something. The Obitrians unaware of the Kings movements head on to Poznan to try and seize it for themselves. Receiving a message of where they are, Milzas decides to move his collected army closer.
As he arrives near Poznan though, King Boleslaw arrives with his army swelled, more than ten thousand more men than the Sasnis first report. We've been deceived somehow. Milzas immedietly order retreat back into Gdansk.
Reports also coming in that the King of Sweden is making headway into the Obitrian islands. Milzas tries to move to face the Swedes at the frozen river marking the divide between our two tributaries. Though King Boleslaw moves in to Slupsk cutting us off.
Even more allies in Prussia appear to defend us. The Galinda and the Barta join the war to try and repel back the immmense army of the Poles.
Though while Milzas is tied up around Gdansk, the Obitrians are all alone as the Swedish heavy infantry and cavalry prey upon them. In retaliation Milza seizes the trading post belonging to the Patricians of Gotland.
With the enemy dealt with, the King of Sweden gets access through the German Kingdom to pass through less hostile land and be able to join up with King Boleslaw. Luckily our allies causing havok to the east is drawing attention from the Poles. The Prussian army moves to intercept the Swedes before they have a chance to follow the Poles.
Though even if King Erik is a formidable advisary, his army is overwhelmed by the horde of the Prussians. The battle is over quite quickly as the Swedish middle collapses.
With Swedens army defeated, Boleslaw move to try and intercept Milzas. Though Milzas knowing he is outnumbered and outmatched tries to outmanouver his much larger foe. The Polish not used to the terrain and it not having the same infrastructure causing quite a deal of attriton.
Though we can't run forever, as such Milzas manages to trick King Boleslaw to try and chase him over the Vistula river. A bold move, we have less numbers but not by much. Our weak right flank falls in matter of seconds to the overwhelming forces, though something seems odd about them...
Though even with that the troops under command of Milzas remain steadfast and manages to even push back King Boleslaw from the front.
Though even with that it's a defeat and the Prussian army have to retreat back to their lowlands. But Milza noticed something, even though large part of the Polish army hoisted flags with local heraldry, there were some odd ones that were definietly not Polish in nature.
It is most likely his Holiness the Pope have been directly supporting these invaders against the Prussians. So we are not only fighting the Poles and Sweets but the entirety of Christianity. While they still number in the ten thousand we are only half of that as they lay siege to our Capital.
We're in a bad position, we are heavily outnumbered and we need to decide how to survive this war. Failure means the expulsion of the entire Pameddi tribe from it's land.
