I'm only two posts in reading it, but it seems like @El Pip might have cribbed some notes on how to write AARs...

A scurrilous rumour clearly designed to ruin my reputation. As the review @coz1 proffers above Mettermrck's work was renowned for it's brief updates and leaving area's unexplored, two things I hope I can never be accused of.

Now had you mentioned Allenby's British interests; British honour; British obligations then I would have waxed lyrical about how it inspired me and still does. But that is a subject for a later nomination.
