A Rest in the Winter
The Caliphate of Turkestan have successfully defeated the Afghan state, and manage to set foot on the lands of Delhi and Persian. It seems that the ambitious country is going to win the war. China is keen on broking a peace between the two sides to maintain a balance in Chinese interest, but she is too preoccupied with the Russians.
The greatest victor of the Great War, and Emperor of the German Empire, Kaiser Wilhelm II have passed away. Succeeding him is the heir, Kaiser Wilhelm III. The new emperor is also the Duke of the United Baltics, and the state was annexed into the empire after his succession to the throne.
In South America, Brazil lost the war against the Platineans and agree to cede the South West to the victorious nation, plus the dismantling of her industry and war reparation fees.
But this doesn't end La Plata's national ambition! The country now delivered an ultimatum to Bolivia ceding the claimed regions. The latter refused, and war was declared. Peru saw the futility of Bolivia's resistance and offered to resurrect the Peru-Bolivia Union, both nations agreed with eagerness with a massive claim on their neighbours' lands. The aggressors sees the new union and tries to discredit it by establishing a Bolivian puppet. The result is that South America now has two Bolivian countries.
After the defeat of the Communards, the British Syndicalists retreated to their island. Hoping that their navy will protect her, but those hopes were proved false as both French and German troops landed into the shores of Dover and drove inland reaching all the way to the outskirts of Birmingham. They stopped on their tracks as they find the city a very boring place.

Two garrison divisions were stationed in Mongolia to help integrate our Mongol brethren into our proud Republic.
Back in Nanjing, a new election was held in the 10th of October 2011 after a competitive election campaign season.
The Democrat Party (formerly known as the Leftist faction)
Headed by Soong Ching-ling, the widowed wife of Sun Yat-sen, was sidelined during the power vacuum by the Syndicalists and the Monarchists after her husband died. She was later put into house arrest during Xu Shichang leadership, and was transferred as Governor-General Hans von Seeckt's “guest” after the establishment of the AOG.
Their policies revolved around Egalitarianism, protectionism, favours economy intervention and regulation. Favours regulated and moderated foreign investment. Accepting attitude towards Muslim and Christian Chinese. There's few to mention as they prefer to keep the status quo they have shaped during their administration. They are also supportive of women suffrage and allowing women on workplaces. Has a cordial relations with the Syndicalist Party and a hostile one on the YCP.
Share of seats: 38%
The Liberal Party
Headed by Hu Shi, a philosopher and an essayist, he first stepped on the spotlight when he was one of the leaders of the May Fourth Movement. Controversially called as a Western sympathiser by his enemies, due to his Classical Liberal thinking, and his acknowledgement of the Company's merits on growing South China's wealth.
Their policies revolve around Individualism, free trade, and a hands-off approach on the economy.
Has a hands-off approach on religion too, but secretly favours Chinese Christians on the coasts, several in the cities of the once Legation Cities, for their pro-business view. Favours a massive foreign investment to put China's industry on steroids. They are also supportive of women suffrage and allowing women on workplaces. Has a dismissive view on both Syndicalist Party and Young China Party.
Share of seats: 27%
The Conservative Party
Headed by Chen Jiongming, the former warlord of the Guangxi Clique who defected to the Zhili Clique. The Conservative Party is the biggest loser of this election by losing half of the seats in the General Assembly. The total defeat of the Yunnan warlord rebellion have gutted the number of their party members, many defecting to the YCP. The public avoid them too due to the rebellion.
Their policies revolves on Social Conservatism, free trade, and a hands-off approach on the economy. This changes of their core policies was an evolution after the failed rebellion. With their large feudal-era properties gone, many have become industrialists like the Liberals to remain on their class strata. It has a certain subtle dislike on non-Chinese religions (Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, for example). Favours significant foreign investment to advance China's industry. They are against women suffrage and allowing women on workplaces, saying “There's enough men to run our farms and factories”. Has a hostile view on the Syndicalist Party and a cordial relations with the Young China Party.
Share of seats: 10%
The Young China Party
Headed by Wang Jingwei, a intellectual who graduated from Vienna during Austria-Hungary's fragmentation. The event, along with the revolution in France, have shaped his view and his comrades' to what was known today as “National Populism”. While not the largest party in the General Assembly, they are the biggest winners of this election, from nothing to the third largest party in Nanjing replacing the Conservative Party as the dominant faction of the Right-Wing.
Their policies revolves on Social Conservatism, protectionism, and a Corporatistic economy. It lambast both the greedy uncontrolled Capitalism and the heathenish Trade-Union/Syndicalism. It promotes the Chinese religions (Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism) and suit them to promote national agenda. It is against foreign investments as they prefer Dirigism, where the state to drives the economy. They are against women suffrage but allows women on workplaces. Has a hostile view on the Syndicalist Party and on the Kuomintang.
Share of seats: 25%
The Syndicalist Party
Headed by Zhou Enlai. This resurrected Far Left is a new and different breed compare to the old Syndicalists within the Kuomintang. Zhou was a graduate from Paris-Sorbonne. Which makes him a follower of the French-style Syndicalism, compare to the Leninist Syndicalism studied by Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai-Shek. The new Far Left wanted no cooperation with the Kuomintang.
Their policies revolves on Egalitarianism, protectionism, and a Trade-Union/Syndicalism economy. It lambast both the greedy uncontrolled Capitalism and the reactionary economics of the YCP. It wants to heavily discourage all religions. It is against foreign investments as they see this as “a means to exploit the Chinese proletariat”. They are for women suffrage and allows women on workplaces. Has a hostile view on the Syndicalist Party and on the Kuomintang.
Share of seats: 0% (Not enough votes to secure a seat)
Foreign Policy
All Chinese parties are for the unification of the Five Races, and her national lands. Chinese Nationalism is still healthy and it would be a political suicide if one doesn't follow this. All parties are good with the war against Russia, including Young China, who have similar views with the Wranglist Russia. The Syndicalists applaud the effort on liberating their Mongolian brethren but against making imperialistic moves towards Russia.
All parties also in favour of liberating the Koreans and setup a Korean nation. But the Liberals and Syndicalists prefer to do it indirectly by supporting the Korean movement through all forms of aids except military intervention.
All parties are warm towards the setup of the new Chinese navy. Although disagreements shows on what it should be; open-sea fleet or a defensive fleet.
The Coalition
The Democrats and the Liberals have formed an Orange coalition to gain the majority of 55% of the General Assembly with President Soong reelected as the Head of State, Zhou Shuren as the Prime Minister, and Hu Shi as the Deputy Minister. The new cabinet is a mixture from the Democrat and Liberal parties.
Within the first 100 days of the new administration (where promises of the new regime are expected to be met), the new economy shifted slightly towards the Right with new Liberal reforms to encourage the private sector. The initiatives made by the previous administration on founding companies have finally bear fruit. More government infrastructure was made. Finally, women are now allowed to vote and to work with the Equal Opportunity Act of 1941, and a change in the constitution to include women to vote.
Following the defeat of the Syndicalist Party in the election with zero seats gained, the party starts to work within the streets to gain political leverage. Protests and strikes were made in coordination with the trade unions sprouting out like mushrooms along the rapid growth of the Chinese industry with smokestacks and factories rising up like wild grasses. War exhaustion was prominent, and people still remember the “Iron Rice Bowls” of the old Company and want it to be inherited into the new Republic. Democrats might allows this to some degree, but the Liberals want none of it.
A new motion was put forward to the General Assembly that next session. The banning of the Syndicalist Party. The Conservative MP have commented that the Syndicalists wants to completely erase the Republic and replace it with the Trade Union Communes similar to France. They are also accuse of being a puppet party of the Western Syndicalists. The Young China Party supported the ban quoting: “The Chinese people must not allow this Red Colonialism to happened”. It is true that the party has strong connections with Paris and London, and the history of colonialism was a factor for some Democrat and Liberal MPs to rebel and voted in favour of the ban enough to pass.
By April 1942, the snows of Siberia has melted and the NRA was on the advance again to destroy the Siberian pocket.

I made Wang Jingwei younger than OTL because the backstory of the YCP is that it's a party founded by university students while they were studying in Europe. So, the party leader must be somewhere in his mid-20s or late-20s.
I changed the start date of some of the late tech-teams because they start at the 50s. Seriously!? So, I made this event to wake up these teams only a year after the unification. Some teams within the 40s are left untouched so I'll be getting more teams including a nuke tech-team.
Next update tomorrow or Friday.
