ok, i've decided to post again here to express my disgust for the people who continue to reply just to slate the idea (1 its not an aar / 2 its a crap idea / 3 it's too easy)

my reply is simple: 1:Yes it is... heres a link to a very good AAR which i presume is not based on a real EU3 game because it involves time travel. very sorry if i'm wrong but at least part must be made up. robou's 'I'm sorry, but you're not the only one...' It is excellent, and nobody has complained that it isnt an aar.

2 No it's not, go and write your own aar if you think you can do better.

3 I hardly think going up against america is going to be really easy. he's said it will get harder from the start. Lots of people read and comment on aars where the player steamrolls everybody, and nobody complains.

obviously comments on aars are welcomed by the authors, but some of these are just downright insulting or completely non-constructive and pointless. Thinsulate is getting way too much criticism.

Can we get a update so there is something else to read than comments of "I-know-more-about-this-than-you" lads.

Okay I'll start the AAR again with 200 pages leading up to the conflict
I'm very much sorry I asked a perfectly reasonable question. Hope you don't treat every readAAR like this...

Well maybe if it was not full of pointless questions such as "Why".

I'll restart this AAR with more story then.

This AAR is closed, the amount of flame is incredible. But don't worry, I'll be restarting it later tonight will billions of numbers and figures to keep everyone happy... this will take a lot of work.

i wish you weren't restarting this aar, but you have the final say. and i must say that it is a shame that a good aar like this is being destroyed by the flamewar inside it. i'll be on board for your next aar none the less.

could you provide a link on here to the restarted version? thanks

Thanks everyone for making this AAR stop. I am happy that at least Thinsulate is smart enough to ignore everyone who just really feels the need to ruin everything. Next time, let people enjoy their stuff and take your frustration out on someone else.

It's restarted. It will be better this time.

Well I must be off, work tomorrow. :(

Up at 4am.

((2) The thing is, the USN doesn't just have carriers, but carrier battle groups, with subs, a destroyer squadron, Aegis cruisers, guided missile destroyers, the whole shabang, on top of the carriers themselves (with surface-to-air missiles of their own, if they needed them) and the CAGs. With two carrier groups together--which is what you would need to sink two USN carriers--you basically have to be flying UFOs to get to the carriers themselves.

These toys are also available to European navies. And it seems to me that given the location of the major naval battle - the North Sea, you have to factor in the British, French, Dutch, Belgian, German and Danish Air Forces as well, which I think would be quite a match for the US Navy carrier group and have antiship capability as well.

All of Europe has a roll. Polands forces right now are preparing to help defend the UK. The First chapter is almost over. The United states is preparing to invade. The second chapter is about to begin :)

A pity I thought we would stay away from this mess, especially with all this the alliance with Putin...
A token sized specialist force (something like we have sent to Iraq) to pretend we are helping and not to burn all bridges with the USA - nothing more.

Whatever happens, please do not use Kaczynski's images here - it is shameful enough to still have him in the presidential palance. Besides much like in Germany he cannot do very much - the PM has the real power in his hands.

yeah i actually thought we might even go backstab everyone in the name of our "friendship" with usa...

I can't believe why people are reacting like this. I'd be more than happy to see Denmark getting crushed under the incredible power of Albania, Sweden or something similar...

"There's no reason" is a perfectly valid response. As is wondering what the backstory of an AAR is. But hey, go ahead, make some drama. It sure as hell is recomended by specialists
