@ hoi2geek: I'm very sorry, but I lost my MediaFire account and I haven't created new account for file uploading yet. Maybe I'll make it later when I'll have more time and send the files to you. However, if you would like to have those flags/shields and would also like to play 1914 and Kaiserreich mods where those flags and shields originate (two excellent mods in my opinion), you can download them here:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?367642-Download-1914-Version-0.43 (1914) and
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...ltkrieg-Global-Alternate-History-Mod-for-HOI2 (Kaiserreich). All shields and flags I use in my game are from this mods. Portugese royal flag/shield and Russian imperial flag/shield are from 1914, all other flags and shields are from Kaiserreich.
@ Strategos' Risk: The problem is that modern USA doesen't have any real Right-Wing corporativist politicians like Huey Long, Charles Coughlin and other people from KR AUS were. However, Kaiserreich uses Henry Ford, Joseph Kennedy and Prescott Bush as possible ministers for Long's cabinet. They represent big business faction in America-First movement. Since George W. Bush is grandson of Prescott Sheldon Bush, I though he might follow familily tradition if he lived in American Union State. I think that ministers of modern AUS in this AAR are suitable for big business faction of corporativist state (there were probably also other factions, like radical populists, religious social movement, moderate group..., but big business faction ruled at this time).
Thanks for comments, everyone!
Russo-Mongolian War, Spring 2011
Paratrooper of 31st Guards Airborne Brigade in Urga after the fall of Mongolian capital.
The short war with Mongolia was absolute success for Russia. Russian predictions came true: After the massive paradrop assault on Mongolian capital Urga, Mongolian forces fell in chaos. Loss of central communication centre put Mongolian armies in information blackout. While paratroopers of 31st Guards Airborne Brigade (main base of this unit was Karaganda in Governor-Generalship of the Steppes, this unit was made mostly of Kazakhs) and 14th Guards Airborne Division secured the rest of the Urga, Russian tank divisions deployed on Mongolian borders, attacked concentrations of Mongolian troops. Most of Mongolian armies were deployed on borders, thus making impossible to aid Urga in right time. Seeing that war is lost, Mongol commanders started to surrender to Russians.
Acknowledging that resistance is futile, Mongolian leaders asked for negotiations. Russian demands had to be accepted: Occupied Trans-Siberian Railway (Mongolian part of which practically didn't exist in anymore) had to be returned to Russia. Mongolian leaders were also forced to accept lower possitions in goverment (Russians tried to preserve the legitimacy in creation of new regime), with Russians reshaping the goverment.
Russians also decided for a strange step. They granted independence to former protectorate of old Russian Empire and free Grand Duchy of Tuva, popular known as Tannu Tuva, joined the international community. However, reborn Tuva was strange mix between sovereign state and viceroyalty. Russian Tzar gained additional title of the nominal Grand Duke of Tuva. Tzar was represented in Tuva via Governor General who was both Tzar's representative and political leader of the state. Similar system was adopted in Mongolia. Tzar also gained the nominal title of the Khan of all the Mongols. Tzar was represented by Governor General, who was enjoying double position of Tzar's deputy and political leader of Mongolia. Tzar appointed Tajik Duke Nadyrov as Governor General of Mongolia, while Turkmen Count Mametgeldiyev became Governor General of Tuva. Tzar also ordered that Trans-Siberian Railway in liberated territories must be restored. Trans-Siberian Railway which passed Siberia to connected European part of Russia with Pacific port of Okhotsk had to take way via bypass North of Mongolia. Now the old connection was to be restored. Plans were also made to connect Okhotsk with Vladivostok in the future...
Due to automatic membership protocol, Grand Duchy of Tuva and Khanate of Mongolia became members of Entente. Russians helped to put the new Mongol army to it's feet. Russian bases and outposts were quickly established in Mongolia, most of them were located on border with Qing Empire, where most of new Mongolian army was positioned together with Russian expeditionary troops.
