This is a long shot since this game doesn't seem to get much attention, but I was wondering if there is a way to weaken Turkey significantly.

In every game I play either Russia or Austria go to war with Turkey and it becomes a 100 Years War, making French conquest of Europe a walk-over (Prussia and the UK simply aren't strong enough to do anything).

Turkey is a colossus in terms of manpower, money, and size. Austria and Russia get bogged down fighting it.

I'd like to make Turkey's army more backward or weaken it, but there is basically no information in the history files that seems to control this.

Turkey played no meaningful part in the actual Napoleonic Wars, and certainly Austria didn't spend the period 1805-1815 ignoring France and getting crushed by the Sultan (which basically always happens in my games).

Turkey is powerful in March of Eagles, I think, because they are big and this game has no real subtlety where size is concerned. If you have lots of provinces, you are powerful (Spain is OP for the same reason). There's nothing that really makes a big army have poor quality or a large country have a poor economy.

I guess I should try AGEOD's game, but I really dislike their interface.
