Too many hammer and sickle flag, but it's very nice.

I think it's appropriate for all of the current communist factions (except Yugoslavia) trying to establish Marxism-Leninism and a dictatorship of the proletariat to use the hammer sickle to symbolize this. In this time line, Russia doesn't have a monopoly as the only significant communist state. In A&A, socialists around the world stood by the idea of international communism--international as in communist nations allied but not merged completely ala USSR.

I don't know if Macedonia would exist,as until the end of WW2 they were mostly considered to be either Bulgarians or Serbs, except by IMRO.

This is important to consider I know, but I feel comfortable with the idea that IMRO and sympathetic victorious allies made it happen. Perhaps there were economic and political motivations at the time postwar for Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and the allied powers to allow this. The motivation of the intervening allies could have been to foster more friendly democracy in central Europe as well as to weaken Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, and Turkey who were deeply affected by WW1 and still bitter. It is still possible that I will reverse the decision to start with Macedonia independent, but it will be releasable by event or conquest regardless.

Like in real time where states like Prussia, Ukraine, and various soviet republics were established but short lived, it will be possible through events to have Macedonia: partitioned, join Italy-Greece-Albania alliance, or be conquered

Out of respect for FallenMorgen's Slovenski Kri mod with the Yugoslav Union and from consideration of The Great Duck's comments on the first page--I have been thinking about changing the Yugoslav Socialist Republic to control Serbia and Bosnia rather than Croatia and Bosnia. If this becomes the case, Croatia will probably be friendly with their nazi neighbors. I don't know whether to give control of Slovenia to Croatia or Austro-Germania, I don't think independence for Slovenia is the route to go in 1936. I am really leaning towards Slovenia being united with Croatia with semi-autonomy. To survive a war with the communists, Croatia needs the Slovenian IC anyway.

Edit: Serbia's loss of Macedonian lands could be one of the aggravating factors that helped the communists take power.

Are you planning to change something in the American continent too?

Yes, although there may be little territory change in North America from the start. Through events there may be some interesting changes regarding civil war or other political shifts. Right now the USA does have a unique situation. I haven't researched enough or thought long enough to decide for sure the course of things with the USA. I am certain though that they will start with very high dissent reflecting revolutionary activities and economic problems (great depression).

South America will be modified too, but later on in development.

OsGerman Reich ???

Do you mean Öster German Reich as in East German Reich? I'm confused :p

Come on folks! :) I am trying to speed up development of Arms & Armistice (still working title) but the motivation lies primarily in feedback from potential players. Comments, criticisms, and ideas are all valuable to me! The input in this thread has been very helpful in shaping the mod, implemented or not. If you are interested speak up!!!

I think it's brilliant. Haven't had time to play it though, sorry :(

This weekend, I promise!

Thank you, but unfortunately it is not playable yet, something causes a seemingly random crash in the first weeks of playing.

I chose "Germania" for historical reasons and to reflect the pan-German ideology and claims of the altered history Reich.

I have reworked most of the story about Germany on the first page although it may be altered again in the future.

- Poland receives Poznan back from Communist Germany and Bydgoszcz back from Prussia

- Stettin returned to Communist Germany

Prussia looks like it's going to be crushed ;_;

<_< Surely, Prussia would turn to the Baltic for temporary expansion before reuniting Germany..

It would be crushed early on by Communist Germany but if they did invade it would be highly likely that other nations would declare war in response like France, Poland, Russia, or Germania. Prussia would have the best chance of owning Germany again by joining the 'Central Axis' of Russia-Poland-Finland-Baltics, or by attacking at the right time while the reds are on other fronts. If France beats Communist Germany it would then be pretty much impossible as France would ensure the sovereignty of their friendly Germans of Nationalist Germany. Then Prussia would be considered an independent Germanic country in the Baltics or would be united with Nationalist Germany through events.

Just a little question:why does Commie Germany own the northern Sudetes?

There was a short-lived Czech republic after WWI, but when Germany and Austria entered the German Civil War--it became an inevitable battleground. The materially weaker Austrian forces crossed the border without declaring war in an attempt to seize resources and advantageous terrain. The plan was similar to Fall Gelb in 1940 of real time. Communist Germany learned of these plans soon enough and also invaded to counter the offensive and grab her own. There was global outrage over the entire scenario yet because it was Germany and Austria at war and Bohemia-Moravia was isolated from allied nations no country would intervene. When the German Civil War became a near stalemate and a cease-fire declared, the communists held some parts of the Sudetenland--enough to justify holding those provinces.

Romania is one of the few countries in Europe that hasn't been changed from the historical time line. The region from Romania to Ukraine needs some interesting alteration. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. There are a lot of mods with Ukraine independent, but I wouldn't mind going that route. The problem is Nationalist Russia needs the IC and their ideology pretty much demands that Ukraine is part of Russia. Thoughts?

So are libya and egypt puppets and there masters just keep the coasts? Who are the Generals for the 3 germanys?

They are puppets and yes their masters kept military/economic control over the coasts as a compromise between independence and colonial benefits. UK has done the same thing with India and possibly Burma in the future. At the moment Communist Germany has DDR generals, Nationalist Germany has DFR and some GER, Prussia has many GER generals, Austro-Germania has AUS and GER generals. It is a precarious situation to have 4 different German factions, but through events I should be able to make generals switch sides for whatever power unites Germany.

I am trying to increase plausibility in the ahistorical cabinets with custom ministers. Head of State/Government is easy and is working well. Other ministers may take research I don't have the time to do at this time. Ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

Jacques Dariot

Head of Government

François de la Rocque
Silent Workhorse

These two figures in right-wing French politics before WWII have been voted into power in 1932. The government is pretty far to the right at this time and bordering on militarist as a response to Communist Germany's rise and the overall unstable situation further east. French democracy is still kicking, but policies have shifted to suit the geopolitical situation and popular sentiment. In this time line, war with Germany is viewed as virtually inevitable. The French majority is vehemently opposed to communism, much less a powerful Germany under socialist rule--and then allied with the RSSR should they be victorious in the Second Russian Civil War.

Base IC in Europe and elsewhere as of now:

As you can see, Regensburg was returned to Communist Germany. The only territorial gains Austria made in the civil war was Bohemia-Moravia and an area surrounding Munich.
