Ordered!

*Runs to letterbox to wait* :D

If you win the helmet, you will be required to post a picture of you wearing it. Then we can compare you to Max.

As for me, at times my smiley already wears a pickelhaube.

-[:^)

I am hoping that Beta testers are not excluded from this.....

Hmm... That sword will be illegal in the Netherlands...

now, if only I had a credit card :(

If I win that helmet, I shall challenge all to a head-butting match.

I have to confess that I really still don't have a good sense for what the game can do and what it can't.

I was hoping to find out more here but information has been almost non-existant. I will probably buy it anyway since it can always be thrown in the garbage if it doesn't do what I want but ...

Let me make an appeal for input again? [YES!! i know the answer to some of the queestions .. they are there to show how absurd it is that we don't have answers to the other ones]

1) Is the game designed to allow a player to play solo against 6 computer opponents? [Lets assume a BIG yes on this]

2) Does the game keep any type of rating system and stats to track your progress across many games?

3) What format do negotiations take with the computer .. what is really possible/not pssible?

4) Do the personalities remember you from game tto game or is it as if they have met you for the first time in the game?

5) Does the game allow for multiple layers to play each other? If so, can one of the players act as the "server" or is it just a central service offered by paradox? If itss a service then is there a monthly cost or a cost per game?

6) When playing against other players is their a way to keep players statistics across many games? Is there a database of players and a way for them to keep a profile and info about them so other can see it?

7) How do non-computer players communicate? is there the equivalent of email? will there be a message board?

8) Will there be a service for randomly putting peopleinto a game against one another?

9) Are there any "mode of play" options in the game. for instance, a fog of war options where moves are not checked for accuracy or even if possible?

10) How would the game work in a face to face environment? where some of the players are real and some are AIs but only one PC is being used?

I could go on and on....

It would be nice to get an idea of what the game can do. All I can get from reading the available stuff is hints but nothing concrete....

Well somebody is going to ask at some point, so I may as well clear it up now..
Does the first prize winner get to meet Susana? :D

Some swords are allowed, I believe, though I'm not sure what exactly is/isn't allowed ( a friend of mine bought a sword a couple years back, he *said* it was legal, anyway)

I feel your pain and share it. :(

Man, this is so awesome!

Though the grand prize is a little odd for me. Just what will this 'partying' comprise of? I'm getting this weird vision of being at a party where I don't know anyone but everyone knows everyone else, so they all talk to each other while I sit in my little corner, alone. Except that the people will be Paradox employees.

But the other prizes are much more concrete, and I can readily appreciate how great they are.

Hi Anonymous,

Not to worry, we are all very social (incredibly social if you measure in computer geek terms). Just ask the people that have already been here to visit us. :p We look forward to welcome one of you to Stockholm!

Susana

Dear BiB,
After some consideration I would like to change my handle...

I believe the name "one of you" has not yet been taken? ;)

I WIN! :D

BTW - for those worried about the Sword.
Most countries will allow the import of such items with prior permission.
That simply involves filling in a form or two and proving you are not a nutcase  (so don't mention Off Topic! ;) )
