Hi all! :)

Ive downloaded the game, and I must say, IMMPRESSIVE! I took a shine to this game, since it also covers a very intresting time period, and is made so very well.I downloaded the inofficial version, English, because well being an Arab, you dont really learn anything other than Arabic and english.I especially liked the Abbasid Caliphate *My favourite empire* now, the events are understandable, but lack the basics of good english *I know it was put in a translator from German to English*.Now its a shame that this game didnt really expand throughout the gaming community, because it is pretty cool.I know a good part of Arabic history in that period, and I could translate all the historical events into propoer English, I can just use my sources to repair it.
I would gladely do ALL the events for the Muslim nations "Al-Andalus, Ummayeds, Abbasids, Rustumids...etc) because thats all what I know.I suggest that every player would do a certain area of events (One could do the Franks, another the Chinese...etc) and we could easily accomplish this. Its a great game, and I loved it, so I really REALLY think we should make it shine :D
Anyone with me?

Can u do Croatias events though?or some places of the Balkans?though the monarchs also needs rectifying , so any help would be much obliged.

Im not asking u to make events, just rectify existing ones from the English version, go into config, into text, and just rectify the events of that nation into proper english.u can see the event name in the file of Croatia for example. Its simple really :)

The English version IFU won't download for me. :(

I could help editing the event text to proper English; I don't know how many there are so I can't speak as to how much I can do in what timeframe though.

Hi Calipah!

Yeah, I just saw this. I played the German version a while back and just downloaded the AJFIFU (thanks Ayeshteni!).

I like this historical period very much and I'd be more than happy to contribute smoothing the language and some other things.

Heck, instead of talking about it, I'll just start doing it right now. :)

I know nothing about programming or how these things work. But I did what you said and it seems to work. I'll start with the Francian events (EVENHIST 1500x onwards) and post them in a new thread.

Also, I'd really like to make some suggestions for changes. Naturally, IFU was very German-oriented, so playing other countries can be a little, um, dull. I think it would be nice if we could spice other countries up with some events of our own.

Also, I think that serious revisions need to be made with Italy & North Africa. I will post some of the things I have in mind for them in separate threads.

Im almost done with the islamic states :D its great to have others doing it too.Lets concentrate on the text first, AND then work out new events and AI's thats my opinion though :p

Post the frankish events, I'll post Andalus and Abbasid events soon! :)

Great! do some specific nations of your choosing, perhaps the Germanics or italians?

I've smoothed out the lingo for the Francian, Lombard, Bavarian and Aquitainean events. I'll post them soon.

I have a bit of a hard time envisaging what the later events are supposed to do. For some reason, my version of AJFIFU seems to always crash in the 920s. Anybody else have that problem?

P.S. -- When is this game supposed to "end" anyway? (yes, I have the unlimited time patch, but the events don't seem to cover the entire 751-1419 period).

yeah I have that problem too, seems the game crashed in 900s something.Reminds me of the mongol scenario. Why do all good scenarios crash? :( oh well...I''ll post my events once I get back home :D
