basically this is how it is working, according to Paradox's own description in the threads posted on the subject already :
Outside developers license the rights to develop the old engine from Paradox to create an expansion.
If Paradox approves of the expansion created, it will be sold on Gamersgate for a price relative to the amount of new content included in the expansion pack. (In one case I know from HOI, the team is developing a bug-fix only, and Paradox has said that it will distribute the fix free, provided it only fixes existing bugs and does not add new content).
Paradox retains exclusive rights to distribute the expansion on Gamersgate, and any profits generated from sales of the expansion are split between Gamersgate and the outside developers.
Lets say a mod is sold at 5 dollars at gamersgate. How much will gamersgate take, how much will go to the developers and how much will go to paradox?
