The people of Brussel also rush to buy shares in The Company.

210_Belco.JPG

As do the people of Gent. The incredible dividends being paid by The Company allow these new shareholders to invest heavily in railroads.

211_Belco.JPG

To further encourage investments in railroad construction, The Company announces a new dividend policy, and abolishes all tariffs. Yes, I got myself in debt again, but this time I can handle it. Look at that! We are making a profit on poor taxes alone!

212_Belco.JPG

The people of Benin decide it's time to leave the ranch and live off dividends. They buy shares!

213_Belco.JPG

We can't forget to keep converting the newly assimilated flemish pops back to farmer/labourer. They are more valuable as settlers for The Company than as workers... for now. Transorangia would become one of the main centers from which settlers move into the wilderness of Africa.

214_Belco.JPG

Volta earns its Statehood! And shareholders! From now on, just assume that I'm promoting 10k+ flemish pops into capitalists, one per state, on most states, when I can afford to.

215_Belco.JPG

Mali earns its Statehood!

216_Belco.JPG

Azawad earns its Statehood!

217_Belco.JPG

North Rhodesia earns its Statehood!

218_Belco.JPG

More shareholders, this time in Buea. Need more factories built there.

219_Belco.JPG

More Flemish Capitalists, now in Medine, Kaarta.

220_Belco.JPG

And in Yatenga.

221_Belco.JPG

Rufiji-Ruvuma earns its Statehood!

222_Belco.JPG

Senegal earns its Statehood!

223_Belco.JPG

Baguirmi earns its Statehood!

224_Belco.JPG

We manage to convince the portuguese to sell us their Mozambique provinces, and Bissau. Sorry, only one screenshot.

225_Belco.JPG

A clever way to gain provinces in Southwest Africa AND Prestige? We approve!

226_Belco.JPG

Borno earns its Statehood!

227_Belco.JPG

Yes, keep working on "The Congo Plan".

228_Belco.JPG

Chile decided to declare war on our Protectorate, Bolivia. Big mistake. They are now another one of our Protectorates.

229_Belco.JPG

Ah so the time for the Congo finally comes round. Suprised you hadn't taken that sooner, or did you leave it because you can do it via event?

You only expect an attack from Germany not France? Or you just hope France will not attack you?

France is way behind in the military score. I don't expect them to catch up. In part, because I intend to restrict them to Europe through colonial wars. Now Germany, will almost certainly catch up. Our badboy is not that big, our war score comparable to theirs, and our prestige is positive, so maybe they won't attack, but they do worry me.

You think 10 divisions will hold them?

You mean 25 (10 per border province and 5 for coastal Belgium)? No, I don't. I hope they won't attack. A few years after the peace treaty expired, they still didn't declare war. Remember, we have a higher Military Score than they do (even though most of our forces are in Africa or the mobilization pool). I'll probably expand the forts in the border provinces and double the size of the defensive forces there. I don't expect France to attack, so I only have three european provinces to worry about.

20 inf+art and a few forts should be able to get the Germans' warscore up high rapidly...

France is AGAIN trying to steal our provinces. They will fail... AGAIN...

230_Belco.JPG

Yea, I know, I wasn't supposed to do this. But I remembed that capitalists don't build in uncivilized nations (why?), so I decided to switch Korea to a reactionary party, just for the possibility that maybe they would manage to Civilize. By 1901, they still hadn't.

Cambodia "donates" land!

232_Belco.JPG

Equatorial Africa earns its Statehood!

233_Belco.JPG

The Gent School of War is opened. It would become a major center for the training of officers.

234_Belco.JPG

Luang Prabang donates land!

235_Belco.JPG

Annam donates land!

236_Belco.JPG

Stanley moves further inland!

237_Belco.JPG

Tswana donates land!

238_Belco.JPG

Nama donates land!

239_Belco.JPG

Herero donates land!

240_Belco.JPG

Ndebele donates land!

241_Belco.JPG

Lozi donates land!

242_Belco.JPG

Stanley manages to acquire Leopoldville!

243_Belco.JPG

With the French isolated in Algeria, it was time to move in for the kill. We get the Tuareg to let go of their sovereignty over most of "their" lands, so we can move to Algeria by land.

244_Belco.JPG

As we entered Algeria, the french acted quickly to prevent us from being able to withdraw. Could we have sent hundreds of thousands of loyal men to their deaths?

245_Belco.JPG

We crushed the french forces in Algeria, despite difficult fighting. Even though we set up defensive positions along the coast to keep them from landing, they don't care. Wave after wave of frenchmen are blown up while trying to land in Algeria.

246_Belco.JPG

Meanwhile, Mocambique earns its Statehood! That is a major state!

247_Belco.JPG

Here we can see another wave of frenchmen being blown to pieces. And investments being made in rubber plantations.

248_Belco.JPG

Since we are afraid of a badboy war with Germany once the french realize they can't take Algeria back, we rush the conquest of Indochina, starting with Cambodia. The three states would be released as dominions for badboy release.

249_Belco.JPG

Cambodia taken.

250_Belco.JPG

Luang Prabang taken.

251_Belco.JPG

Annam taken.

252_Belco.JPG

Our badboy is 35.10. We delay releasing Indochina, as our capitalist decide to build some railroads there.

253_Belco.JPG

Congo is created as a dominion! With some of the provinces we had already conquered! Spliting our Africa in two! Maybe I shouldn't have hired Stanley. Too late now.

254_Belco.JPG

Hum... well, maybe the Congo will revert back to Belgium at some point in the future. If not, I'll have to take it by force.

255_Belco.JPG

Cambodia is released!

256_Belco.JPG

Luang Prabang is released!

257_Belco.JPG

Annam is released!

258_Belco.JPG

Our badboy is reduced to 10.08

259_Belco.JPG

The Homeland of the Flemish is place filled with great mansions and the headquarters of the great banks of Europe, and nothing else.

260_Belco.JPG

As you can see, we have a lot of flemish nationals in Africa already.

261_Belco.JPG

Construction begins on tradeposts in Togo.

262_Belco.JPG

And Kenya.

263_Belco.JPG

Mogdishu is claimed by The Company!

264_Belco.JPG

More tradeposts in Upper Cameroon.

265_Belco.JPG

And Gabon.

266_Belco.JPG

And Uganda.

267_Belco.JPG

There I go being lazy with the screenshots again. France surrendered Algeria at this point, apparently. And we moved in to take the whole of Tripoli. Somehow, I lost/forgot to create the screenshot of the peace deal.

268_Belco.JPG

The Ottomans fight bravely... and die quickly.

269_Belco.JPG

Just caught up with this, great AAR!

Makes me want to try it right now.

So now going for the Ottomans, I doubt highly Libya is worth all those lives, both Turkish and Belgian, but I spose it is an objective as it IS in africa... oh well.

With the ottomans driven out of Africa, our badboy is back up.

270_Belco.JPG

They also gave us Nejd in the deal, so we release it.

271_Belco.JPG

The socialists think they can steal from shareholders! They will learn to respect private property!

272_Belco.JPG

Tswana joins The Company.

273_Belco.JPG

Nama joins.

274_Belco.JPG

Herero joins.

275_Belco.JPG

Ndebele joins.

276_Belco.JPG

Lozi joins.

277_Belco.JPG

The Company cannot afford to risk losing Europe, or worry forever about the possibility of a badboy war. There are many shareholders there that need our protection! Oh France, beware! For a while, France was allied with Germany, but not right now. The nation is mobilised for WAR!

278_Belco.JPG

Our two million men army enters France through Dunkerque. Soon, Paris shall fall!

279_Belco.JPG

With Paris taken, the french agree to join the "Union of Friends of the Shareholders of the Belgium Company". Was this the beggining of Peace in Europe?

280_Belco.JPG

With France easily defeated, the generals propose doing the same with Germany.

281_Belco.JPG

Heavy fighting takes place in the border, as Huygens leads the Great Army into the heart of Germany, and seizes Berlin! The germans managed to break through to Belgium, even take Brussel, but they have now been anihilated! Countless have died... but we must fight, not just for today, but for the countless generations yet to come.

282_Belco.JPG

The germans see the cost of resisting, and accept the join the "Union of Friends" as well. Peace in our time!

283_Belco.JPG

The generals propose continuing the march. There is no point demobilizing just to have to fight in the future. The march towards Vienna begins!

284_Belco.JPG

With a a strong position in the heart of Austria, the army kills wave after wave of austrians trying to recover Vienna!

285_Belco.JPG

Soon, they join the "Union of Friends"!

286_Belco.JPG

The march towards Istanbul begins!

287_Belco.JPG

With countless ottomans killed while trying to stop the advance of the army and Istanbul about to fall, victory is certainly near!

288_Belco.JPG

The Sultan surrenders! They join the "Union of Friends"!

289_Belco.JPG
