Wow indeed--neither Lithuania nor Hungary have been inherited, either. (Nor, for that matter, has Norway, now that I take a second look.)
You may want to make one exception to the "no colonies" rule, and that would be to conquer the Aztecs (or whoever that brown is--never played into the 16th century) and get all their gold provs before Spain does. Call it part of your "preemptive revenge" against Filipe II
I think Norway was inherited, but revolted away (though Im not really sure). The Aztecs have blown away the other Pagans in central America and Im not sure I want a load of rubbishy territory, in the past (playing as Gelre) I remember taking them out, but the inflation meant it was impossible for me to mint any money, as it was impossible to lose it (inflation) once gained.

Wow
. Thanks. That one was awsome. What a Sweden, what a Novgorod, what a strnge couple of borders in the east. The white bordering to Novgorod not being it, is that the white sheep? And the brown in crimera? I can't even guess. This is a pic for the srange screenshot thread.
The white is Sibir
and the brown is Persia
, Not really sure if its that strange...

You know, I really can't fathom why you're giving this help to France. I'm waiting to see how you'll handle the religious mess as and when it arrives (a war to force convert France to Reformed perhaps?)
Something different, no personal dreams of grandeur or being world master or anything, just a thread in the main forum talked about it (helping ai) recently, so I thought Id give it ago.
Religious mess? I may as well go reformed, though staying Catholic is still a possibility. If I do change I will ensure I have 200+ relations with France so That I can just get them back in my alliance straight away...then just keep funneling them cash for good relations.

Aren't you afraid for a war against one of your vassals? What if France decides it is time to cut England down to size?
Nah, Im not afraid...If France decides it time to cut England down...then its time to cut England down...or if its seems like a good time, Gelre may make the decision to cut em down

You and France do make a good team. I think you were lucky to get out of that war with the Palatinat and Kleves losing only money.
Its just I have one province in South America and Danzig, so they could not have gotten 100% war score and forced me (to give up territory) and the leader of the alliance (Naples) could not have given any of my provinces away...
