That's.....quite something. @Wraith11B , you just won AARland. :D

Very nice - that gives me an idea or two...

In honor of my nod, I decided to be a bit extra and show everyone the relative insanity that my current AAR is...

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what "raising the bar" looks like.

(The Historical Atlas of World War II! :D I have a copy of that myself -- though at present, unfortunately, it's somewhere with my main book collection at my parents' home, many miles away :( )

Kudos for having the courage to make a video specially for this, I think I wouldn't dare it myself. And it gave a nice little insight, even though I'm not following your AAR.

So now it's time to pass the award. I wanted once more to thank you all for this honor and for making this community one of the best ever.

It was hard to find a successor for the week, not because of a lack of candidate. Quite the contrary, there are a lot of people that deserve this awAARd every week.
I had a few criterias like not being a recipient of this one earlier this year, if possible find someone who never won it, ...

And I think I find someone you will all agree with. He is here for a long time, always there to congratulate a winner, to vote on the ACAs, ... He is more often seen in the old HoI (especially the 3rd) threads but sometimes you can see him elsewhere (in EU:Rome for example).
He is also a writer (you can find his last here) who have already won a "Writer of the week" at least.

If I'm not mistaking it's the first time he win this one, and I'm proud to be the first to congratulate him.

Congratulations @Wraith11B ! :) And thank you for your involvement ! ;)

This was a huge surprise to me--as my initial response probably indicated--as I never felt like I had truly met the bar for being a big enough fan. Not enough reading getting done, et cetera, et cetera. I feel truly honored to have been nominated and will follow your example about nominating a relative unknown to these lofty heights.

To @Nikolai, @Idhrendur, @stnylan, @Specialist290, @TheAnguishedOne, @loup99, @Tom D., @Eurasia, @Bullfilter: I appreciate your congratulations. Having so many notifications earlier this week was always very nice to see.

An excellent choice! Congratulations @Wraith11B , I remain envious of how you find the time to both produce such excellent writing and be a busy and valuable fan, all the more reason this award is so well deserved.

There was an Engineer from England
Who wrote humourous and serious stories in AARland
With two Pippettes at home
It took the Time Stone
to weave his stories so slowly they actually lasted longer than the subject matter.
;):D

Many congrats to you @Wraith11B for you have shown an excitement about these forums that is most needed! Excellent work as a writAAR but so too reaching to not only your "area" but also to the main forum. We need more fans like you! Well done! :)

Indeed, you show some excellent support for the community, while also maintaining a very fine piece yourself. Well done and congratulations @Wraith11B!:)

I appreciate your thanks, and look forward to doing my utmost to bring eyes not only to my AAR, but also back into the AARland area, and from there to others' AARs!

Congratulations @Wraith11B !
Many times it's the fans that keep us going. You're right. I have not written anything in a long time due to massive writer's block. These days I mostly lurk.

If I may, perhaps a page out of El Pip's book then: start a short comedy AAR that doesn't involve much in the way of detail but still gets you writing?

AARland vlog? Well that is certainly upping the ante.

I have that one and Atlas of World War II, which look broadly similar but are slightly different. I used to also have an older edition that I have long since donated. Should anyone wish for a bibliography, I would be happy to oblige. The book that's open is one of my favorites, and @Axe99 probably has read that one as well: The Naval History of World War II. I also have several that I don't have hard copies of (Thanks Amazon!) which I would enjoy relaying to everyone.

Also, please, don't feel like it should become standard for Fan of the Week or Writer of the Week or whatever to become a repository for something so vain. This nod just got me off my duff to post a video about what it was like to be playing for my AAR. It is also the last time I'm going to try something so over the top... I started this game back in January 2016. Here it is, September 2018, and I'm finally up to August 1943...

Kudos for having the courage to make a video specially for this, I think I wouldn't dare it myself. And it gave a nice little insight, even though I'm not following your AAR.

I had been thinking of doing something like a "Behind the Scenes" special, given that I don't know how many other AARs have ever used more than one computer (aside from Multiplayer AARs). This just encouraged me to get it out of my shell.

I've got a rather busy weekend ahead of me, between work and a party today (and hopefully some play time), and house hunting tomorrow, I figured that I would hand this off. So put your hands together to congratulate @Finshades! He's never won this award, but has been a dedicated fan both in my AAR and 'Odin' and Stalin's Secret Committee by @roverS3. I'm sure that he's been around in other places but the forum is only showing the activity that is in those two AARs.

And since this is now as long as one of my updates, how about I get the hell off the soapbox! :D

Congratulations @Finshades - good to have strong HOI3 support

HOI focused fans should always be recognised, fighting the good fight against the CK2/Stellaris hordes. :D

Congratulations @Finshades , keep up the good work.

A massive thank you to @Wraith11B for the honour! I'm glad to know my comments have been a positive influence, as the WritAARs certainly deserve a lot of that. I hope to be able to continue contributing from the sidelines :)

Very many congratulations @Finshades

My congratulations @Finshades .

Congratulations, @Finshades !

Congratulations @Finshades!

And impressing setup you have there on the video, @Wraith11B !

Congratulations @Finshades !

Big thanks to all for the congratulations! It is an honour - and I promise to keep supporting the HoI AAR community!

Now, being a mere commentAAR myself, this has been a tough call - after all, I have no AARs for people to comment on! However, after scouring the forums for a nominee who is, in my opinion, deserving, I found a few candidates, but after seeing that one hadn't received this recognition yet, I knew I had my nominee.

I am pleased to announce another first-time award, this time the title and the fame goes to @nuclearslurpee who has been active in many of the AARs I have followed, including Talking Turkey by the venerable @Bullfilter (which I am still catching up on, I promise I will comment eventually ). Congratulations!

Hooray! Nukleru Sulruperu was also on my short list of candidates! Bang on job, mate!
