Currently, the trade interface has a button which adds eligible provinces in a trade node to a trade company.

Currently, if you want unity of faith, you must convert the provinces manually and add them to a trade company manually in order to avoid the trade company conversion malus. This is inconvenient because you need to click quite a lot, and you must remember what provinces have been added, what provinces have been converted, and where the provinces are located.

I want to add a button on the trade interface near the "add provinces to trade company" button which automates this process a bit. When you click the "convert provinces and add to trade company" button, you dispatch a certain number of missionaries which will convert provinces in the trade company region. When a province is converted, it will be added to your trade company.

Please note that converting provinces is still less optimal than making humanist memes and note that the player can already do this by clicking the mouse, so the addition would not be overpowered.

why do you want to do this? there is not downside to wrong religion in trade company

One faith, one empire, one culture.

And why are you against adding a quality of life feature?

filling screen with useless button gets annoying. the game has many buttons i already have to sift through to get to the important ones. adding a button which is only useful when going for a specific achievement is totally unnecessary and just adds more button bloat.

It's a button which is in interface without too many of them. I don't see the issue.

its a feature that is totally useless except for players going for a specific achievement.
less then 1 percent of players have this achievement. lets say for the sake of argument that, 3x the number of players who have this achievement, have seriously attempted to get it. that would mean you are adding a button that 97.6% players will never use.

Trade Companies do not receive maluses from wrong faith, but they DO get the benefits from true faith, meaning that converting provinces before adding them to TC's has the objective advantage of having less unrest in them.

Orthodox also gets -3 unrest and +33% manpower in true faith provinces, making converting TC's even more attractive.

Definitely not useless.

I like to make a point of converting TCs for unrest reduction when I expand over 100% overextension or at high war exhaustion.

Catholics also like to convert TCs sine they get since they get Pope Points for doing so.

It would also useful for role play games where you're spreading your religion into the trade company.
