I do not understand...if you think it's beyond hope, then why bother posting? I mean...when GCIII finally bit the dust quality-wise, I let it go. I knew they weren't going to fix it on their own, and that I had no power at all to affect that.
But if you believe that it can be improved, why would you not offer constructive criticism on specific points, and suggest practical solutions to those issues?
Moreover, to all those who are in the same boat as yourselves, none of you really seem to know how companies work. The Dev Team is irrelevant. Project Leaders have only a minimal say in what launches when. People who know nothing at all about software development make those decisions, and while some are understanding and flexible, many are self-absorbed and inconsiderate. And there is no fix for that. Blaming devs for keeping their jobs by not rocking the proverbial boat, is not only detrimental, but pointless. If you want them to become people with the guts to tell their bosses to piss off, then you need to be supportive when these things happen, not derisive.
So, you won't actually specify what's wrong with things, you won't suggest even vague solutions to those issues, you blame those who are largely only indirectly responsible for any kinds of quality issues, and you refuse to support them in any kind of effort to overcome the issues that are actually to blame.
That...sounds pretty whiny.
