Yes, it is a shame!
Then I could get rid of that damn non-core province!

All I can do is let it revolt! Or give it away in a peace deal I suppose.

Catknight: Unfortunately I can't - it is part of the White Sheep Turks and if I released that, I would lose a load of cores on that border.

If it won't revolt of its own accord I will do that though. :(

You could script an event where it revolts though.

True - or I could edit to someone else I suppose in the save - for a 2BB reduction that's the BB cost of taking it in an offensive war isn't it?
