Carrier vs CAS warfare!!

Jan 3rd, 1949
The American never learnt their lesson. They keep on sending carrier fleets to thwart Mongol Pacific islands hopping operations.

Vice Admiral Price’s 5-ship carrier fleet consisting of 2-CV, 1-CL & 2-DD approaches Mindanao island of southern Philippines…

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): Come here baby! Come to papa!! :D

860price.jpg

With the Airforce Chief in direct command of the attack, a locust swarm of 15 CAS air-wings sets out on the unsuspecting carrier fleet. And BOOM! BOOM!! Two carriers, USS Ticonderoga and USS Randolph find their way down to the seabed with one of their escort destroyer!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): Superb! With such a protective force, our amphibious landings will be a lot safer!

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): My only problem is airbase. Just like your ground troops, I need bases to hop from to the next.

Yanjmaa (Armaments): We have construction works on up to 6 air-bases running in parallel at any one time. Cheap labor is plentiful from the lands of the empire!
It will take care of that problem of yours!

The air-power protection of the CAS air fleet helps Mongol army to expand into SE Asia like never before! A foothold at Papua New Guinea and many more in the Indonesian Archipelago!

861papualandings.jpg

Choybalsan (Chief of Army): We’re doing well! We ARE!!

Luvsansara (Head of Gov): Kublai Khan landed in Jawa only and quit! We have certainly earned the respect of our ancestors for going the extra distance!

Jan 12th, 1949
Fleet Auxiliary Submarine Doctrine researched!
Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): What subs??! We have none!

Yanjmaa (Armaments): Nah! It is just one of the many basic stuff that we need to learnt up on overall navy warfare before we branch out to specific doctrine. Our next tech to focus on will be Great War Battleship!

Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): Ahh! That sounds wickedly better! I want some super heavies like the Bismarck and Yamato!! Only ships of those stature deserves Genghis name on it!

Jan 14th, 1949
The coward Hitler moved his capital from nowhere Rogachev that actually has been encircled to Murmansk near the Arctic Circle!

862murmansk.jpg

Nyambuu (Intel): The crazed dictator fled, he manage to slip through probably as a civilian across our lines in Southern Moscow to escape north probably along the Finnish border.

Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Or perhaps… through Finland! I cannot believe he get through all our check points! We are already in control of the narrow land-strip to the Scandinavian region.

Chimid (Chief of Staff): We shall see! Never liked them, we have border disputes with the Finnish! Let’s see if they dare to step on our toes this time.

Mongol continues to makes progress into conquests of the Indonesian islands that has fallen from Japan to American.

863menado.jpg

The Mongols landed in the middle of the Celebes island and from there span out. The first objective is Menado city to the north that houses an airbase and a navalbase which was attacked a week later. Forty thousand American GIs are killed including an entire tank division! Prisoners are maimed to death just like what Khan would have wanted.

Off the coast of Borneo island, US Fleet Admiral Nimitz carrier fleet are making their way to Mongol’s position. The fleet last spotted in West African coast has come to stop Mongol conquest of SE Asia and has a long history of sinking many Mongol ships especially transports at port!

Air Marshall Zhalnin (CAS fleets): It is time that we show the US carrier fleet that they cannot shove us around anymore! US has their strong sea-based bombers but we have an equally strong land-based bombers! Let’s see who triumphs this time!

864nimitz1.jpg

And with that, Zhalnin’s squadron engages Nimitz 25-ship fleet consisting of 6-CV, 2-CVL, 4-CA, 2-CL & 11 DD.

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): The rest of the bombers including mine shall be joining you shortly!

Mongol bombs start raining down on the pride of the American naval fleet! Scenes of destruction are everywhere! Bombs gouges holes on the deck, salt water gushes in drowning scores, sailor screaming for their mom….

Feb 7th, 1949
The next day, eleven more CAS/naval-bomber air-wings joined in the fight as Nimitz fleet slog through his journey along the northern coast of Borneo.

865nimitz2.jpg

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): The carrier fleet path is predictable, don’t let Nimitz get away!!!

Carrier taskforce is taken aback by the ferocity… and the numbers involved in the attack. It is a horde attack!! It is like walking straight into a trap!

Reaching the northern tip of Borneo, Mongols CAS and naval bombers STILL continues to engage the beleaguered Nimitz carrier taskforce!

866nimitz3.jpg

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): Ahh… burning carriers are a nice thing to watch! Not everyday you see bonfires in the open ocean!

Nimitz loses his own flagship carrier, USS George Washington before escaping, disappearing somewhere into the Philippines Sea, shaking off his trail from the hunt of the aerial hordes!

Poor Fleet Admiral Nimitz!! His taskforce has taken a beating. From a 25-ship fleet, it has been reduced to only 19 ships losing 4 carriers & two of its CL/DD escorts and untold damage of varying degree to other ships! Instead of taking on Mongol transports in landing operations, the ‘predator’ was attacked by and have to flee empty handed!!

867sunkships.jpg

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): Haha!!! We sure taught them a lesson! Admiral Nimitz shall never be the same person again!

Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): He is certainly shaken to his bones! His own ship, the very bridge he is presiding over is in flames! Shameful abandoning his own ship for another!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): Hahaaa, you guys really make a US Fleet Admiral been hoisted down on life raft and been transported to another ship! What a humiliation for them! From now on, their feet shall be closer to the ground! No more in the clouds!! :p

One can twist and turn but eventually one bomb gonna hit and deal the fatal blow… The wrecked American carriers forms “Floating lighthouses”, drifting aimlessly along the Borneo coast, a testament that the sea is no longer beyond the reach of the hordes!

868poster.jpg

Could be worse for Nimitz, he could have been nuked like on LCMP. Just sayin'.

Looks like the hunter finally becomes the hunted. Who needs a fleet?

The Mongol amphibious attacks are sure to attract the carriers as expected hence the preparation of the CAS air screen to blast any sorry bas***d out of the water! :D
I still need a naval fleet! Just for the heck of it! Something to show Mongol rulz the waves!! One CV and one SAG.

On Finland, haven't start hostilities with them soon. Recall that Winter War didn't occur and Finland did not join the Axis. Winter war event won't trigger if Soviet already at war with Japan. In this game, Mongol allied with Soviet vs Japan in the rush for China. Air recon shows all the Finnish troops are camping in the capital. It looks like the AI don't know what to do when the Winter War didn't trigger! :p 45 divisions currently staying put at Helsinki gonna be a tough nut to crack!

jonie-dinofreak: The masses of Mongol hordes are just bordering Finland after wrapping up German's Soviet, it is just natural to take Finland while "on the way to Norway". There has to be 'reasonable' justification for war, Finland being blocking the path is one good excuse! :) Can't afford to strat deplay my 50 divisions over to Denmark for the Copenhagen straits short-cut as the TC is already so bad in the 40s%. Lots of fighting and advancing still occuring simutaneously in the African and SE Asia theaters. Also note Mongol is not at war with Sweden.

Lighthearter: Most western nations are imperialist, so Mongol shall rape NOT only the US :D

An update should be ready by tomorrow...

45 Finnish divisions?
Pics or it didn't happen!

That's 20% of the population in arms during the 40s!!!

As requested :p
In times of peace, people spent more time pro-creating.

Last of Wehrmacht....

Fleet of Khan continues to operate along the West African coast. During the amphibious assault at British’s Port Harcourt at Niger, a modern destroyer was captured intact at the port!!

869freeship.jpg

Grand Admiral Luvsan (Fleet of Khan): Wowwee! What do we have here! A nice big fish!! We got ourselves a modern destroyer with advance sonar and ASW! But the best thing about this, is tise vessel’s organization which max out above 100%! :D

Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): A valuable addition to your fleet! A deserving ship to be one of Khan’s!

Feb 17th, 1949
Protecting Fleet of Khan’s operation is the CAS fleet helmed by Air General Smushkevich, the most skill commander of Mongol armed forces reknown for his tank-busting skills!

870smushkevich.jpg

Air Marshall Smushkevich: Eat my payload!! If I can hit a moving tank, what more a relatively slow carrier!

Such heroic acts that contributed to the success of the Mongol Empire expansion do not go un-noticed!

General Chimid (Chief of Staff): You have come far from Soviet to serve Mongol as instructed. You have performed you duties unbelievably well. With all these astounding achievements of yours, we bestow you the rank of Air Marshall to command our fast growing air-fleet!

Air Marshall Smushkevich: From my days of tank busting I have elevated to aircraft carrier busting! And serving in the Mongol Air-force gave me that chance! I shall duly continue to serve!

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): Brilliant! You shall only be the second Air Marshall after out top ace Air Marshall Zhalnin* in the Mongolian Air-force!

*Editor’s note: Zhalnin was auto-promoted- didn’t realize when it actually happens! And I just recently realize that Air General is NOT the highest rank!

Feb 22nd, 1949
An important moment for Mongol Navy has arrived!

871navaldoc.jpg

Yanjmaa (Armaments): The last of the basic lessons on naval warfare has been learnt by our Navy officers with the completion of Fleet Auxiliary Carrier Doctrine! We can now specialized into specific doctrines that we believe shall harness the power of our navy industrial might that we will be capable of! As previous discussed, we have selected the path of Fleet-in-Being!!

Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): Yippee!! Finally, some major progress in naval warfare technique! Our pitiful naval organization levels and fleet battle command structure shall improved incredibly!

Yanjmaa (Armaments): This doctrine path shall maximize our future planned mix of carrier and battleship fleets optimum organization levels. Our Japanese officer Oka Keijin who has served Mongols for a looong time since the fall Mengkukuo shall show us the way!

General Chimid (Chief of Staff): Well, it has to be Fleet-in-Being as what Soviet chooses! The right path! With ready blueprints from Soviet, we can learn all up in half-time!

Feb 25th, 1949
The chicken-side of Hitler shows its true color again. With the Mongol advancing north towards Lapland, the coward Hitler fled to Oslo, capital of former Norway from Murmansk and make that the latest capital of the failed German state!

872oslocapitail.jpg

Nyambuu (Intel): That loser fled again to keep his distance from our advancing army.

Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Didn’t someone tell him that Oslo is quite close to Mongol’s Europe? It is just a straits crossing!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): But we have no transports available there to assault directly as the British Navy will be blocking our path. We will have to go over land!

Nyambuu (Intel): There is a strip of shallow waters from Copenhagen to Swedish lands that will cut short our distance to Oslo but we’re not at war with the Swedes.

Luvsansara (Head of Gov/Foreign Minister): But we will keep our options… open! Heheheee… ;)

Mar 8th, 1949
The march of the armies of Khan along the Eastern African coast has taken there all the way to South Africa! Pretoria, capital of South Africa was captured by Mongols!

873pretoria.jpg

General Luvsan (2nd Armija): Hah! The South Africans are busy with British’s war that they forgot to defend their homelands! Our forces only encountered garrisons along the coast.

Choybalsan (Chief of Army): They must have only expecting us to attack from sea and not from land! That shows how weak knowledge they have on us Mongols! We thrive on lands and great distance is of no barrier!!

Mar 14th, 1949
Back to the German-Soviet front, Mongol Arctic warriors have captured the large spans of tundra of Mezen, dividing the last of Hitler’s army into two.

874pockets.jpg

Lt Gen Lee Shou-hsin (Kublai Khan Kommando Korps): We have captured the frozen lands of Mezen and German forces from Syktyvkar are trying to dislodge us!

FM Choybalsan (Chief of Army/1st Armija): Their forces are now congregated at port-city of Archangelsk and Syktyvkar! Finish all of them off before they pose further threat to our valiant commandos!

FM Lyibangrryan (6th Army): My pleasure!! This is the last batch of fresh German blood that we shall feast on so enjoy while it lasts! :)

It certainly didn’t last very long. Choybalsan took on the Archangelsk west pocket and Lyibangrryan the Syktyvkar east pocket. Isolated and out of supplied with its soldiers on the brink of starvation, the Wehrmacht 120,000 men were put to death swiftly.

Nyambuu (Intel): Hey, our intel estimates that Hitler have only two more division left! :D

Chimid (Chief of Staff): That baaaad?!! Where are all the sons of Fatherland? This is a joke!

Kollontay (Security Minister): Serving us to be exact! We probably have more German men in the Mongol army now than what Hitler actually have! Our army recruitment which is open to all is getting a consistent supply or young recruits who is willing to serve!

Air Marshall Smushkevich: From my days of tank busting I have elevated to aircraft carrier busting! And serving in the Mongol Air-force gave me that chance! I shall duly continue to serve!

I almost feel like posting this as my status on Facebook and refusing to explaining anything. :)

Great progress etc etc. This is possibly the first time I look forward to my country being conquered in an AAR.

I laugh at Hitler, his fate is sealed in Archangelsk!

Hitler, once the leader of Germany, then the leader of France, then the leader of Russia, and now the leader of Norway lol

Phew! Finally I've caught up again. It's been a while since I last set my eyes on AARs and I see that a lot has happened. Actually I was surprised to find that your updates have become more detailed and that you have not yet landed in the USA. All the better for me, so I can comment more. :D

Congratulations on what you have achieved so far and I'm looking forwards seeing your special event. I wonder what the "bad things" may be ...
