...Although I prefer 'bully beef', of course :rofl:

Also looking forward to the RN and RAF updates; that keen young RAF officer Frank Whittle should be given backing by Winston - who is always up for a crazy-sounding scheme, like propeller-less flight... :eek:

And of course, let's hear it for Hull / Ironman in California! ;)

Eve of Election expose

Mafia support Democrats

Democrat Hull guarantees prohibition will continue after his campagin received massive mafia funding,

Mafia fear complete collapse, if drinking legalized.

Get ready to celebrate a Democrat victory, by drinking tea and coffee.

Hood rebuild

Ah, those fine KGV and Lion photos remind me about the need to rebuild Hood.

KGV-style with 5.25" secondaries:

So with the election virtually over when are you planning on releasing the winner El Pip? We going to find out now, or when the update rolls around sometime later? I personally would prefer to find out now but can understand how that might ruin the update in question.

I'll just begin by noting the milestone;

100,000 Views

This is clearly evidence of some form of group madness on these forums. That or a shining testament to the power of an election to boost forum rankings. Either way I'm surprised to have got this far and yet made so little in game progress. I can only admire the perseverance of my audience in sticking with it and redouble my efforts to ensure your patience is rewarded.

Anyway onto the feedback;

Jalex - You do have a point sir, electoral sleight of hand will inevitably play a part. Though don't forget the Democrats and their anti-booze platform will be pushing certain 'men of respect' to rig votes in favour of Hull (with the knowledge and approval of the man himself perhaps?).

C&D - The form book of Allied diplomacy during the 1930s suggests a German triumph is not out of the question, particularly as the Allies are now split. Of course both Britain and France have been buoyed up a bit and are more interventionist than OTL, on the flip side however Germany is far more desperate and Hitler was a gambler so will doubtless push his luck as far as it can go. It really could go either way. :)

Hawkeye1489 - The electoral college map would indeed ruin the grand surprise of result day, though there are still over a dozen states deadlocked which will have to be 'interpreted' before the final update. ;)

As for the rest I can only say I'm pleased all that research and fact checking paid off! :D I sometimes wonder if I'm wasting my time on details no-one notices or cares about (and I think occasionally I do despite your too kind words). But it is very reassuring to know that a few people do appreciate it. Thanks again and I hope the rest of the story lives up to the previous chapters.

RAFspeak - The failure to use drop tanks was worldwide, each country or service having their own unique reason for getting it wrong. Some were technical (For instance German drop tanks didn't, the release kept failing ans so the tank stayed attached as basically a highly explosive fuel air bomb. Understandably pilots weren't impressed!) others were just doctrine and priorities (The RAF didn't need long range escort fighters for night bombing and didn't treat the Far East/Pacific as important enough to develop specific long range aircraft)

Of course in hindsight it's all obvious, but such things often are, however it does mean such things are available if needed....

Pwn*Star - Who needs catchy lines when you will be remembered as one of the heroes of the Garner fightback? One of the small band who kept the faith during the dark days of early December? :cool:

Lord Strange - To be honest I'm glad Garner is in the mix, he's a far more interesting character. Particularly his associates. :D

DonnieBaseball - Everyone loves a good naval update. And cheers for those pictures and the site, hopefully I can work them in somehow. :)

RAFspeak (Again) - Whittle is perhaps a bit too conventional, I think we may instead delve into the work of Griffith at the RAE. A much unappreciated gentlemen if I may say.

Chief Ragusa - All true, though as only the sale and production of alcohol was illegal I have no doubt the Democrats would celebrate with something alcoholic. As indeed would all sides regardless of result, after all Prohibition didn't apply to distinguished politicians like them, only the poor plebs of the electorate....

Nathan Madien - I think your impassioned and logical argument is having an effect. ;)

Arilou - Though I admire your stamina in pushing the metallic superman based cause.

daemonofdecay - An excellent slogan sir :D

Anazagar - The booze campaign is winning hearts and minds all over the nation. :D

With that last few we cross the 300 vote threshold and still have a bit over 22 hours to go. :eek:

I don't think I'll reveal the final result, but I may through in a few teasers and statistical oddities just to whet people's appetites and set a few questions going. :p :D
