Here i come with the daily update.
This time it's the turn of the Armoured TT:
EDIT: Sorry i uploaded the wrong not updated pic the first time.

As you can see there are many changes, being the main ones that the medium tanks now are researchable separately, i've included Cavalry and infantry tanks (which are other models of medium tank brigade), there's two more model for Armoured car to have prewar ACs and the early 60s AC (like BRDM-2) and there are also Airborne tanks, which for now, they only give a boost to airborne divisions, i intended to take a naval brigade and turn it into a land brigade in order to make this brigade, however it's not possible so i already suggested the DH developing team if they could make naval or air brigades to accept land brigades parameters (in order to make them effectively a land brigade) in this thread: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?580037-Make-every-kind-of-brigade-to-accept-all-kind-of-parameters in order to add even more moding possibilities.

And here are the land monsters, the super heavy tanks, they intend to represent both paper projects and real projects, from panzer löwe, to maus, to panzer IX and X and finally with soviet project of object 279.

EDIT: - Use one of the naval brigades models to include Light CAGs into the game resulting in the end in a helicopter ASW CAG.

Perhaps it could be interesting to include parts of the cold war tech tree?

The good ole' armageddon forum... how many memories...

Yes, i think it has many many many interesting things to add like the improvement on missiles or nuclear ICBMs...

BTW, i'm thinking that there are two, IMO pointless naval brigades, the improved hulls for capital and small ships and therefore i'm replacing them with light CAG and naval anti ship missiles. What do you think?

What would be the light cag for? For CVE/L or all naval units? If first then it could be a bit useless, for the other, isnt there a seaplane brigade in DH? so why make another one?

Wont anti ship missiles be a too late game brigade?

Obviously only for CVE/CVL. And yes, there's a seaplane brigade, but i think that the seaplane brigade intend to represent scout seaplanes embarked into a ship, generaly a BB or CA and serving mostly to scout purposes. The Light CAG would represent a group of airplanes (not as powerful as a normal CAG) but more centered in ASW warfare (which was the main role of CVE/CVL).

About anti ship missiles... there various trials dating back to 1943 and also during the 50s, check this one:

Well I dont know but I dont find this very usefull either. I think most wouldnt bother make the light CAG over the regular CAG. Doesnt carriers even possess depth charge armament and a couple of sea planes aboard?

Ok that will be cool.

If CVE stats are reworked they're going to be very useful, CORE did this also and it makes escort carriers more realistical, in order to fulfill their original role, and besides, it makes seaplanes more useful because that way you get the light CAG for early seaplane carriers and ww1 carriers.

Ok i see the logic in this.

Progress report:
The Armour tech tree:

I know it's starting to look ugly, but if you know another way to make space for that many techs, let me know.

As you can see, i've included one more model for 1941 light tank, three more for anti air brigades in order to represent their development through WW1 and one more model for SP anti air brigade in order to have vehicles like ZSU-23-4 shilka into the game considering that they were designed in 1962.

And again, another reworked one is the secret weapons TT:

As you can see i've moved the goliath tanks in order to make space for night vision techs, which are a mockup from cold war extension mod and i'll remove, or make them differently, if its author asks me, but sincerely i think that it's the only possible way to do it.

I also have included the Light CAG into the game, but they have not their own tech. You may gain access to them by researching seaplanes brigades, CAG brigades and ASW helicopter brigades.

One last thing: I'm starting to think about adding a tech chain in order to represent the birth of flight and the usage of zeppelins (there's nothing started about it yet in this mod BTW) through WW1 but i don't know how could it be made, any ideas?

also could you make the ships upgradeable too? in vanilla ships don't upgrade, which sucks. i often manually mod the text, even in the less tech vanilla, it's a pain in the ass every time

No i can't. That needs access to game's code and i don't have it.

And it's not realistical for individual ships, maybe for flotillas but not for the ships.

I should read developer diaries more often...

hey! because it was not possible before last patch! Anyway, i still think that only DD and Sub flotillas should be upgradeable costing a lot of time and IC.

ok ok, just wishing you good luck with this project, i think you'll also have to mod the research speed as well, there's just so many things to be done in 1 short year

Did you take some influences from the 1914 mod yet? They have a nice pre ww2 tech tree that would do nice in your expanded tree.

After fighting all the errors that it gave me, i managed at last to see the main game's screen. It seems that if there's an active localflag named "firstflight" or something like that -i'm talking by heart- then an event pops up and unlocks a "first flying experiments" which starts it all.

Question is, how is that localflag activated?? I've been searching for it through event files but it's nowhere to be seen!

Errors? You sure you have the latest mod and DH patch versions? I never got any errors.
