So -- where is the best place to put your freshly-made Synthetic Materials plants?

1. Your Capital?

2. Where your other plant(s) are?

3. Where your oil is produced?

4. Somewhere else?

I believe it's the province with the highest efficiency - so the province with the highest infra and factories.

This is ignoring the impact of bombing of course, with the considerations making it quite different - and you'd want to pick the opposite - ie a province of low strategic value and as far away as possible from enemy airfields.

I usually put mine in provinces that have a lot of resources, high (or building) infrastructure, and inland when playing a major country. For minors and others, I look for the same but the majority of the times you don't have any of those provinces. I then look for flat/plains inland provinces where infrastructure and industries can be built quickly.

Thx. I made 3. I put one in the Capital, one where the other factory was and the third in the most oil-rich province. IDK if that was good, but the shortage is noticably reduced.

Spreading them out is also a good idea because it'll reduce the impact of any bombing too.
