Dunno what is the progress of the talk with paradox, if its over or not, but if pdox will chose to let those guys sell this "mod" then i lost all respect to pdox. Maybe a mod34 dissident mod should be created. Either that or someone should create somekind of counter movement "Modders fund to buy mod 34 and make it better and free".
I don't think its a matter of paradox letting them, i think its more of paradox not thinking its worth the effort. Going by the activity on the forums i would say they have made maybe $100 at most.
I am tempted to buy it just to upload it free. Its $4, although it would mean not getting any more updates unless i wanted to forkout more pennies.
Its obvious what they are doing is illegal so they have no method of making people not distribute it.

What future for France now?

need some opinions, maybe experiences from people that perhaps were in this situation:
- France(me) went with war over the remilitarization of the Rhine. Germany is no more(as also the Axis), Belgium took some, France the rest and annexed The Thousand Years Reich. It lasted for less than 3 yrs... It`s Dec 1937, I have 114 base IC, 64 usable I think.
Nationalist Spain won the SCW easily.
Now have I broken the timeline? I understand that there will not be a traditional WWII, but will SU try to conquer Europe and/or Asia later?
Will France get involved against Japan? We guarantee Netherlands independence now. I think that Japanese aggresion policy will continue regardless of what happened in Europe.
Will Italy still take on Albania and Greece?
Anyway, considering that I`m stuck with my current IC(no gearing up for war events more I suppose) and behind in most techs EXCEPT the nuclear ones, what would you do in my place? I have max isolationism now to boot...
I consider Indochine untenable against Siam, Japan and maybe a puppeted Nat China. But maybe I`m wrong...
I try to roleplay so I ´m not warmongering, will not use no neutrality cheat.
Opinions and advice eagerly awaited.

Japan should do its usual war in china and asia as historical and justthe same as italy, they will act as historical, but on their own.
Have you researched the small bonus techs? They giveout nice bonuses to yuor units and are for most very quick to research.

and thx. I actually will continue this campaign just to see what happens.
I do research the small land techs intermittently but my big issues are:
- SU, how to prepare for when/if they go west. I think abt. fortifying my 3 Oder provinces but we can still be outflanked from the south. Also I would enhance army, try to get nukes operational beforehand and hope for the best.
- Italy, if our guarantees to Greece are valid when Italy invades them we`ll be hard pushed in N Africa but may annex Italy fairly quickly with a little luck.
Should I try to fight delaying actions in N Africa or abandon it completely and concentrate on Italian mainland exclusively. Access to paras would be marvellous, but transport aircraft are horribly expensive at our 65 usable IC.
- Japan et consortes. Even if we manage to blitz and annex Siam immediately(paras...) I see no possibilities to hold off the Japs from conquering Indochine especially if they got Nat China with them.
Perhaps better leave Indochine altogether and try stopping them in Burma together with India and UK and then push forward to retake what is ours by right. Here also I see nukes as the long term alternative.
Japan is the toughest nut as we would have to be superior to them in two areas at least. Like army and navy or army and air. With Italy and SU army might suffice. And nukes against the SU.
I have now 2 lvl 3 interceptors, 4 lvl 1 tacs, abt. 35 land divs( 2 HQ, 8 lvl 1 cav, 1 lvl 2 cav, 1 lvl 1 l Arm, 2 lvl 1 mtn. The rest is a mix of lvl 2 and 3 inf., lots of useful lvl 1 brigades like AC, L Art, AT and AA I have too.
Navy is slightly reduced from starting position. I disbanded lvl 1 destroyers and subs. No brigades at all here.
What would you and other forumites suggest for research and building?
Remember, 65 usable IC when at peace...

What i would recommend, is to let the game run for some time to see if the soviets actually DoW you and if this front should be a priority or not. They could invade france, but not japan see?
If they do attack... Yeah like you said, try to fortify the border and try sending nukes on their ic. For sure you would be hard pressed in case of war, at least your ic should rise and help out a bit and if have the courage to so it, you should try a french barbarrossa.
Usually the idea is to starve the italians in afrika by killing their convoys, anihilate them and take care of italy proper. That tactic could still work even with a big land border, but only if the englishs do their job in lybia. If you manage to knock out their navy, you could attack italy from the north and also from the south with fast units. The troops in afrika would be doomed anyway. After that they should collapse quickly due to fighting on 2 fronts.
Or you could try to ally with them against the soviets
Unless you can get china to join the allies and push them back you are pretty much doomed, period. If they defeat nat china, they would have access to an unlimited amout of manpower. Your idea of holding out in burma is good, but you cant hold on for eternity.
Here nuking should be wise also, nuke the ic and the dissent hit should also give you some aid. Maybe you should develop naval bombers and get more tacs, it would be usefull for pretty much every campaign here. Italy and japan has dangerous navies that need to be killed, if you want to go around as you wish.
How come you have such a low ic count if you have germany?
And what allies do you have?

my low IC is due to occupied territory penalty. I have an average 10 % revolt risk in my German provs. Also, we are a democracy at peace.
And yes, I have a Prince of Terror in charge of them Boches...
I have a few more base IC then UK, does it make me the Alliance leader?
There is a greyed out Bring to Alliance diplo option but with current max isolationism it will take me 5 yrs to be able to offer alliances... Being alliance leader, that is.
So allying Italy although very attractive, maybe is not very realistic because of the above. But puppeting them rather than annexing could be an option indeed.

The alliance leader is permanent i think, you will need to mod your save game. Just find the allies alliance and make FRA the first country tag. Your max isolationism wouldnt make sense in such a situation in real life and is a handicap gamewise, id recommend a cheat move to interventionist.
Making a puppet italy could be a good idea, but you would have to destroy most of their army in the process. (or trap them ALL in afrika, but this is impossible)
Keep pumping those planes for now. Later you could try to get some interceptors or fighters, then strategic bombers for the nukes and maybe some transports for the fight against japan.
You should try to military control the british for navy, against the italians and later for the japanese, they are the most important allies. You could probabaly control the australians, canadians and afrikaners too, but it could be too much micro management to handle and they are pretty weak most of the time, your call.

I have a small daily surplus in oil and a good stock.
My techs are not too bad I hope:
- lvl 4 Inf, lvl 3 Cav, lvl 1 Mtn and Mar, lvl 1 L Arm, lvl 3 Int and Ftr, lvl 1 Tac, Tra, Str and Nav. Lvl 2 L Art, lvl 1 all other brigades. Only starting ship techs.
- land doctrines OK-ish I think. All skill 2 doctrines(except for 3) done.
Planning, planned attacks, strat lvl, tac lvl done.
- air doctrines, only Kette in fighters done. Ind. air force, tac. air support, interdiction, inst. attack, naval patrols done. Long range c. 40 % done. Will probably go with improved defence for my bombers.
- naval doctrines. Only powerful fire, logistical support, naval intel and strategical lvl done.
- nuclear techs. Particle physics almost done.
-industry techs. Public finance soon ready, prod planning next. Special materials done. Average electronics, basic radar, tabulators done.
I have LOTS of upgrading to do, though.
In mobile forces I have 9 cav divisions, only 1 lvl 2 but all with AC brigades.
Also 1 lvl 1 L Arm with AC. This must suffice for now.
UK has been building some industry, they are now only 1 base IC behind so military control is iffy at best.
We are now on Aug 16 1939. In April SU attacked the Baltic Countries and Lithuania and Latvia still exist.
If SU attacks Romania also we will be involved because of guarantees.

Its ok we all go through the "beginner" phase.
Use F12, type freedom and press enter. You can mess around with your diplo sliders. You could also cheat to force britain in a military control by typing acceptall.
Maybe you should focus on upgrades if its above 50 ic.
And remember to keep your research speed at around 100% to keep ahead.

many thx. What makes this campaign hard to continue is that the gearing events are inactivated. This is a little illogical, Japans behaviour in Asia should be quite enough to prepare the Allies for war. Shouldn`t be too difficult to figure out in advance.
I`m thinking abt. firing them manually for France and the Allies(once for each member I believe).
Anyway this is becoming a hassle so I don`t know if I have enough interest to continue this. Must meditate on it.

I'm pretty sure that if they have this "blessign from paradox" then they would advertise the fact.
Come to think of it it is probably legal as your paying a subscription to the site which lets you dl content from the site. they aren't specifically selling the mod per se.
i'll probably wait till closer to the end of my internet month to dl it so around the 5th or so.
