Nice moves in the East Indies. It still cracks me up to see Brazil and Argentina as your allies.:)

Yeah. They aren't even communists. But i guess they like my style or something. Perhaps hoping to take control of America.

Maybe later ;)

Update:

-------------------------
Japan was weak. So weak they didn't have an army left to even defend their home islands anymore. Their airforce was the only thing keeping their country from falling apart.

They practically delayed the war a few more months when their largest bombing raid yet took out the construction site for Jeju Island Airport in March, reducing it to scrap metal. Completion of the Airbase was delayed untill August 1948 because of this.

At the start of March the Chinese main battle fleet of heavy cruisers and destroyers was send to Tokyo, the last of the Japanese navy was located there. The Americans, British, Brazilians and even the Australians where also patrolling near Tokyo and the Chinese had to know what was going on there. It seemed an invasion of Japan was at hand. The Americans had already taken care of Japanese presence in the Pacific by taking control of Iwo Jima, Saipan and Guam. The americans had a quick jump onto Japanese homeland.

The Chinese speculations where realised on April 27th 1948 when the Americans landed at Osaka, South-West of Tokyo and took Nagoya to the East really fast in May.

1948May6invasionofJapanbyUSA.jpg

To make matters worse, at the end of May the USA had also begun their invasion of the South of Vietnam and Cambodia. Japanese troops in Vietnam where all focussed on the North so the American had free game. They marched on through towards Saigon and took it.
As a response Mao decided they should first try and get Vietnam before joining the Americans in the invasion of Japan itself. The largest concentration of available troops where located on Java and where ordered to do an Amphibious strike at Dan Nang once more. This time they had 27 back-up divisions ready to be transported onto land when the landing forces had taken the beaches. Once the 27 divisions(over 500,000 men) had landed the Japanese would probably retreat the largest concentration from the North, making a strike from the north possible and thus destroy the Japanese presence.
---------------------------------------

Its worth a shot.

the US seems to be landing everywhere at once, this can't be good.

The damned US just seems to want to mess up all your plans. Good luck with the amphib. assault into SE Asia.

yeah, the US is definitly in the way

Update:

-----------------------------
It all failed horribly again, only a small part of the japanese army was diverted to the South once the landing forces had started getting off the beaches. They where totally surrounded in matter of hours and surrendered very soon. When the half million soldiers landed at the beaches a few hours later they where allowed to march on, thinking Da Nang was taken. When they where inland enough they where ambushed, only a few hundred Japanese soldiers died during that mighty exchange, while all 500,000 Chinese where taken prisoner. The attacks in the North all failed as well, killing hundreds of Chinese soldiers.

During all this the Americans had been fighting a loosing battle on Japan's home islands itself. They had not nearly enough troops to take out the Japanese home base forces. They where near Tokyo in June, but where beaten when trying to take it and instead got to the North coast and went around Tokyo, taking Fukushima and even Sendai by the time of August.

In Vietnam in the meant time, when they reached Da Nang the Americans where beaten back again and all the way off the country by the end of August.

This has all gone on long enough, there where still plenty of troops ready for combat and a lot of transport that could take them anywhere. So, on August 28th 1948 the Chinese invaded Southern most of the Japanese main islands, Kyushu. They landed succesfully and captured the Japanese troops there.
-----------------------

Haven't really "finalized" the rest yet so might take a bit longer. Gonna try work on it this weekend. Don't have any pictures left either.

Man, that just sucks as far as the SE Asia invasion went. At least you seem to be having a bit more success on the home islands...for now.

Man, sorry this took so long but i haven't been able to get on the forum for almost a month now. It looks alright now again. Was it just me then?

finally, an update:

-------------------------
Battles where heavier then ever, they where on Japanese home land now. For the first time they faced a population not wanting to be rescued from Fascism, but opposing the comintern. The Chinese generals and other officers didn't really know how to deal with this. The revolt risk of the occupied territory was great. The Chinese armies went through JIA defences on the island pretty fast though, they where greatly outnumbering them. Even though the japanese troops had more advanced technology and the fact they where on their own turf gave them a chance of delaying several attacks, even ambushing Chinese troops a few times. But in the end the japanese army had long been broken. All and all about 9,000 Japanese soldiers where killed on Kyushu, of the 10,000 defending. Japanese soldiers where more desperate then ever. Against the Americans some soldiers actually surrendered ,but they couldn't bare the thought of surrendering to a Chinese soldier. Never. The Chinese army on Kyushu was able to keep themselves seperate from the civilians, in hopes they won't start massive suicides themselves. In the bigger cities though there where lots of chaos, anarchy even. The Chinese soldiers started to wonder if it had been such a good idea to actually invade this proud nation. Still, gotta finish what you started, out of respect for the dead.

In the mean time the Jeju International airport was finished and open for business. All of the PLAF was sent there and immediately started bombing the Japanese home islands, excluding Kyushu of course. It was hard coordinating with the American airfoce, making sure they won't start shooting at eachother. Still, the Chinese where using large, but old Russian planes, the Americans could easily identify them. The much more advanced American planes where not hard to seperate from the standard tech Japanese ones. Jet engines and all.

Once the island of Kyushu was fully taken it was clear more troops had to be brought onto the island as they where getting some heavy resistance from the south part of the Japanese main island. Especially from Hiroshima came heavy artillery attacks and even rocket attacks from the Japanese. They would have to wait for the American forces, which where finally getting their positions secured in the South and where attacking Shikoku island.
-------------------------

Phew, hope some people pick this up again.

Sorry for double post. I got troubles with the forum. its working now longer then it has for a month.

quickly i will post the rest, all of it. Sorry all, hope someone would still find trouble to read it.

-------------------------
On November 16th the Chinese transports also took a load of troops towards the Northern island of Hokkaido as it was unprotected but still held some mayor industry. Local population embraced the food and supplies, seeing the Chinese as rescuers.

At the end of November the Americans had taken out the Japanese on the island of Shikoku. Now the siege of Hiroshima started, the Americans still being too weak to overwhelm them. At the start of December new Chinese forces arrived on the island of Kyushu however and took defensive positions against Hiroshima before they where able to break the defensive line. They where able to open up decent communications with the Americans and aid them in any attacks. At the end of December the Americans finally dared their offensive upon the great city and the Japanese army surrendered in the South when American tanks slammed through their defenses like cake. Now for the North part of Japan.

The Americans where completely driven away from the North, the Japanese army was the strongest there and of course their main prize of Tokyo had to be defended till the last man. On December 28th 1948 the Chinese fleet, with about 6 divisions of men arrived at the Coasts of Nagoya and Tokyo. The Americans where battling a fierce battle with Japanese forces who where about to take Nagoya back. The Chinese landed between the American and Japanese forces, between Nagoya and Tokyo. A large portion of the Japanese army had strolled into Nagoya province as the Chinese landed. Those forces doubled back to Tokyo, fearing the loss of their capital. As the Japanese where able to regroup in the area of Tokyo they could hold back the Chinese forces. The Chinese tried to go into Nagoya, but the American got to them sooner, so the PLA fully turned towards Tokyo

The main assault of the Chinese army, with some help of American forces on Tokyo started on January 10th 1949. They entered in the early morning, with special storm troops specialized in Urban warfare. They took some tanks and armored cars with them. Japanese soldiers had turned Tokyo into a fortress of barricades, mines and strongholds. The Japanese fought for every corner of their capital but they where totally outclassed by the battle hardened Chinese special forces that had practically seen almost every type of battlefield before. Strongholds where taken out by American artillery from outside the city. Enemy armour, though more advanced where no way capable of fighting in urban areas and totally outclassed by Chinese tanks. Chinese special forces entered building after building, clearing out anyone with a weapon. This continued for a couple of days all the way towards the Royal palace, which had to be reduced to rubble for the firing to stop coming from the buildings around the city, as if their collective collapsed with the destruction of the palace. The Japanese army had surrenderd in the city, most soldiers where to much of a wreck to commit suicide and where just found everywhere, laying on the street, crying and staring at their great palace in ruins. From that moment the Chinese and Americans saw the Japanese soldiers take a look around for themselves, see their capital in ruins, the civilians they where sworn to protect dead, injured, hungry, crying. Japan was broken, scarred forever. Last place in the city where fighting was going on was the Tokyo Harbor, resistance had pretty much stopped so some soldiers began searching to help themselves. Some soldiers where scuttling ships and submarines, some where looting, other soldiers tried to make a run for it in stolen ships. The pirates where waited up by a multinational fleet just outside the docks though. The Chinese and American fleets landed Military police. Order was returned in the city after a few days, after finally an officer with the rank of major was found and could formally surrender. Tokyo was taken on January 26th.

With it the Chinese forces confiscated all of the Japanese stockpiled supplies, oil, rare materials and metal, claiming it was all stolen from Indonesia and Malaysia and thus belonged to the Comintern. The Japanese army was finally disbanded. The rest of the North of the Japanese homeland shouldn't be hard to take.

1949may10Japanoccupied.jpg

March 10th the last of the Japanese resistance on the islands was defeated. The next few weeks china took control of the North part of the main island while the still operating Japanese government fled too Vietnam, their last outpost. The Japanese government, still considdering China as infiriour and almost non-human massivly thought that surrendering to the Chinese would be impossible, Japanese views wouldn't allow it. They had been in peace negotiations with the USA for months now but the USA couldn't do anything with Tokyo occupied by Mao's forces. The Japanese should have surrendered to the USA 2 years ago.

In June the USA again, with blessings from the local population(including some Japanese), invaded Vietnam, this time making sure they will stay, the Japanese forces are no longer supplied from Japan and had to do it with the resources at the spot. They get some resources from Siam as well, But that will soon stop as well with the United Kingdom strongly influencing the Siamese government to join the Allies.

Mao still wanted Vietnam to become part of the new Comintern though and the USA was halted and warned not to attack the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi without Chinese help. Japanese soldiers eventually reverted 95% of their forces towards the Communist side, allowing Americans the freedom to capture vital points. With these points taken the Americans had a good position of attacking Hanoi without the Chinese with very little causualties. But, since Chin had been such a good help and was all over the place, knowing every little detail about american plans the USA had to halt its advance into Hanoi and end the war and wait for China to give them the call to attack, with their support.

1949August10USoccupationofvietnam.jpg

Mao deceived the Americans though and launched an offensive on the Capital personally, finally beating the Japanese stronghold on September 21st 1949 and totally occupying it at the start of November after some very long and pointless fighting in the city. The Americans joined in the fight eventually, seeing a large group of Japanese soldiers with their hands raised coming towards them, but the city was already fully occupied by Chinese, who even started shooting at the surrendering soldiers. The Americans where able to put a stop to the shooting, finally, after 13 years. The war was over.

Japanese prime minister Hideki Tojo was found dead by the Chinese on a boat in the harbor, along with about half his cabinet. Sugiyama Hayime, the Japanese chief of the army was captured by PLA forces on December 25th 1949 in a rice field just outside Hanoi and send to Tokyo for trial. He was sentenced to death on the first day of the trial and publicly executed by hanging.

The Japanese government scattered, Emperor Hirohito was captured by the Americans in December when he showed up in Saigon and formally signed the Surrender papers in Okinawa on December 18th towards the Comintern and Allies, giving up north of Japan, the island of Kyushu, the South part of the island Seppuku, Jeju island and Marcus island(east of Iwo Jima) too the Chinese while giving the south half of the Japanese main island, the North of Seppuku and Korea as well as Okinawa, Taiwan, Iwo Jima, Saipan, Palau, Eniwetok and Kawajalein to the USA. Japan then surrenderd the Phillipines back to the Americans and recognized the independence of Malaysia and Indonesia under their new Stalinist governments. Vietnam was split between the USA and China, giving the biggest slice to the USA(but the very important city of Hanoi was still under Chinese occupation), China later declared North Vietnam independant, with Ho Chi Minh as its president. Lastly the USA declared the independence of Korea.

After this, Hirohito was put on trial for war crimes. With great efford by the Americans he was spared the death sentence and was exiled to live in prison in the USA for the remainder of his life.

What will happen to the Japanese people was still undecided. The USA had to focus back onto Europe again and cut all their good relations with the Communists. Mao saw some nice targets in europe for himselve though. He always wanted to visit Rome.

The End

Sorry you had so much trouble with the forum. I have experienced some of it myself, getting booted from time to time, or unable to get on, but nothing compared to what it seems you experienced.

The Americans beat you to some of your targets, but at least you got a few.

Now, you make the statement that Mao wants to visit Rome, followed by "The End".

So, is this the end of this part, and there may be another sequel, with the Communists involved in the European war?

Suprisingly working well right now.

Well, i was thinking about playing on through, see what i can do in Europe. But i'm not sure yet.

First need to know if it can do anything in the first place, Germany is super strong.
