This is for support, bug reports, feature requests, and general feedback for the Image Overlay mod.

If you are reporting a bug, please remember that I can't see your computer, so you need to be very explicit in your description of the issue so that I can understand what's going on. Logs and/or screenshots to support your report would also be a good idea and will generally save time.

Thanks for the reports - I've had a report from another modder that the game is sometimes delaying loading of mods, which might be the trigger for this issue. If it occurs, then a restart of the game should clear it.

Since the issue is random and only happens occasionally, I"m having a hard time trying to reproduce it, but I'm looking at options for workarounds.

Hi @algernon, restarting the game helps most of the time, but the overlay still does not work in the Map Editor. Can you please take a look? Your mod was the only one which worked there with BepinEx manual installation before Paradox Mods was released today.

I've just been chatting with someone on Discord who's using it in the map editor right now, so it does work there, when things are working.

At this point I really need to see some logs from those with the issue - specifically the Player.log and Image Overlay.log from immediately after pressing Control-O and nothing happening.

I had it working in map editor and normal game with just the image overlay mod and nothing else. I'll get the player.log and image overlay.log for you in the next few hours.

What is the location of the log files? How can I send them to you?

For getting them to me it'd be best to put them on paste.ee and then put the link here. Wrong! You can attach them directly to a post here, it seems.

I have attached them and here is the pasete.ee link too: paste.ee/p/BiC6R
Thank you so much for your help, this is the most useful mod I have ever used in CS. paste.ee/p/BiC6R

Thanks for the logs! From that it looks like it's actually a problem with the input system.

I've just posted an update that will hopefully fix the issue (I say hopefully since I haven't been able to reproduce the problem myself to confirm whether or not the update fixes it). Any feedback yay/nay would be greatly appreciated!

Using V6 of the mod, the Image Overlay works in the game after a restart, but still does not work in the editor, but the date of the entry is correct for the editor key strokes in the Image Overlay.log

In the editor, is the overlay not there at all, or is it set at the wrong height (underground)?

If it works for modders, is it possible, that the installed modding tools makes it work in the Editor? I have not yet installed any modding tools.

Sorry, the overlay is below the ground, it is there when I bring it up!! Maybe even if it is loaded in the game, it still needs a few restarts to make it work in the Editor. Is it possible, that the mod loading happens independently, separately in the game and the editor?

Hi @algernon, to match the overlay to the height map downloaded from heightmap.skydark.pl I have to rotate the overlay 180 degrees. It is not a show stopper, but maybe it would be nice to correct it in the next version. Thank you very much, I really appreciate your effort and very quick help.
