ugh, Mackenzie King! By far Canada's worst Prime Minister. Hopefully you replace him with Bennett, one of Canada's best. Don't let those limes push you around. For Canada and the Empire!

Mackenzie was odd, for sure. But saying he was the worst is a bit of a stretch.

Harper is close in competition:rolleyes:

O Canada! This really is the Grand Entente, I'm very impressed by Edward's use of compromise and diplomacy to build up the potentially impotent alliance he leads... I always thought that the Entente could only make an impact if it was actually played by a human.

Will be interested to see how you deal with the problems of the Union fleet and actually landing on British soil itself....

Onwards!

Part V

As the war in the Balkans begins heating up, far away in Asia, the Shiangqing Tianguo, a millennial group of religious fanatics declares war on the Qing and immediately launches a surprise assault on the western provinces of the Empire.

Chinese Civil War

On July 28, martial law in the United States ends and General MacArthur steps down. Frank Knox, the former Democratic Vice President, takes over the Presidency. Immediate discussions begin over the fate of New England. Edward wants it to remain in the Entente, but in his first speech upon assuming the Presidency, Knox issues an open invitation to begin the process of reintegrating the region back into the United States. Already bogged down in a major war overseas, Edward knows he would not have the negotiating leverage he needs to maintain control of the region against the will of the population. On the other hand, the American landscape lies in ruins after the war and the American economy lies in shambles. A delegation of Canadian and New England leaders are sent to Washington D.C. to discuss the terms of peaceful reintegration.

Eventually, the Canadians and the Americans strike a deal. America will give up its claim to the land taken from the CSA by Canada during the war and recognize those territories as Canadian henceforward. In return, Canada will do everything it can to support and facilitate the return of New England to the United States.

On August 28, Egypt joins the Grand Entente. With South Africa, Nationalist France, Libya, and now Egypt, the Grand Entente is in a position to challenge Mittelafrika’s dominance in Africa.

By September, a multinational force consisting of Japanese, Fengtien Republicans, Australians, and Centroamericans lands in Albania to guard the tiny country from Serbian aggression. In the skies the airforce of the Grand Entente engage the fighters of Serbia and Iron Guard Romania while meanwhile the Ottoman Empire loses control of Istanbul as the Romanian army enters the ancient capital.

War in the Balkans

As the Sultan flees into the Anatolian peninsula, Edward continues to reach out to Otto I to urge the Dual Monarchy to enter to the war. Finally, on October 7th, Edward meet with diplomatic success. Promising to surrender the territory of the Serbia and Iron Guard Romania to the stewardship of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the war, Edward convinced Emperor Otto I to bring the Dual Monarchy and its various puppet states into the Grand Entente. With this diplomatic stroke, the course of the war is changed.

Austria joins the Grand Entente

By end of November, the Serbian Empire is on the defensive and it appears that it will be only be a matter of time before the Grand Entente takes complete control of the Balkans.

War in the Balkans continued...

On November 28, 1937, New England rejoins the Union, as per the deal struck between the Canadians and the United States two months before.

New England rejoined the US.

In Spain, the CNT-FAI faction has taken control of the majority of the country while in Asia, the Qing government struggles to hold on to the countryside as the rebel faction gains increasing momentum with each passing day.

Spanish War November 28

Several weeks later, Spain is annexed and the Syndicalist victory in the Iberian peninsula is virtually guaranteed.

Awesome!!! Finally a real Entente AAR. I would love to see how things turn out once you reconquer the British isles. :)

However are you going to do something about the US? Or just hold on to the midwest states and turn the locals into maple-syrup loving Canadians? :D
