The following text is the most current replacement for the first part of the countries.txt file if one tries to convert AGCEEP game.
Note 1: The tag conversion aims at maximising the number of countries, and some tag might seemingly convert to wrong countries. Where this is the case and I've taken speciale note of it I've added "#Wrong", and are very willing to hear alternative convertion options that might be more historical accurate, but doesn't decrease the number of countries...
Note 2: Some tags might lack the country specific static data, if they are not a tag the converter usually uses. I'll try to correct this in time, but again if someone posts country specific static data for the tags the AGCEEP version will properly get done faster.
Note 3: The reason I'm posting in this "BETA"-state is to get feedback. Any post on wrongful tags convertion or country merging would be much appriciated. Some tags does merge with other countries than one might usually expect though. This is most because I try to aim for plausibility more than real life geografi, when a merger is needed... For example two countries of different religions (and to a lesser degree culture) shouldn't merge if a logical alternativ exists.
Note 4: The layout is a little off, but it is readable... It will be corrected in the final version. Sorry, but I'm using Word not Notepad for this one. Automatic sorting stuff does make things a lot faster.
Note 5: Some countries doesn't convert because I've chosen not to let them convert for the time being... mostly to get the results more in line with a standard vanilla setup. "#Shouldn't convert" have been assigned to these, and they are listed under the mergers...
Note 6: The lines that start with three #'s are the free tags remaining (not counting U##-tags). If some of these could be put to good use it would be nice.
