It's all perspective-based, just like the definition of a continent itself. Some even consider Turkey to be the Eastern-most part of Europe.
You do realize you just linked to a site which states several times Cyprus is part of Europe? Plus, Cyprus has always been considered part of Europe, and if we should be picky: Asia was originally a Greek province, not the name of the continent we know today.
Lol, Transnistria? Yeah I did, hard to see though it's a very "thin" province between Ukraine and Moldova.
Here is what I got for Israel/Palestine region, also I can manually give a province revoltrisk even with it being a national province.
Jordan: Claims on Jerusalem
Egypt: Claims on Gaza
Palestine: Gaza and Jerusalem, claims on the rest of the region.
Israel: Cores on the whole region, including Gaza and Jerusalem, Claims on Sinai and Golan.

While that is the actual situation IRL (LOL), in DH you would need to declare war on the USA first before you can do that.
Regarding Israel, the Golan Heights must be under its control, and I think that also the West Bank.
P.S. About Transnistria, it shouldn't be either a Russian puppet or ally, as Russia itself doesn't recognize it as an independent state. Good relations will suffice.

While I was at it, I added South Korea.
For the governments, I replaced some government types:
Radical Communist - Stalinist
Radical Socialist - Leninist
And I am still looking for replacements of Fascism and National Socialism.
The factions are:
NATO - Which includes all of historical NATO in 2000.
CSTO - Includes China and DPRK at the start, but I plan to expand it later using in-game events and the such.
MEC - Includes Iran at the start, but will expand as Iran does. Also I needed a name for a Middle-Eastern Sphere, and Battlefield 2 came to mind.
Also, I replaced many many many many many many many flags with flags from MDS2 for HOI2. And although I am going to be using alot of GFX content from that mod, I do not claim credit for making them. Thanks to the original devs of MDS2 for saving me countless days/hours!!!
There were some guy who made flags for all modern countries, with correct proportions, colours, etc. I'll see if I can find a link.

You're adding mostly a bunch of nations (like Kazakhstan) which are already in the game, not sure why this part takes so long (just the mapping, that is).
