I was thinking about Quill's vid from when he is talking about the game while you see him playing the game
Yes, that's more accurate.

It's funny to me that you guys are applauding that CO listens to you.... but you don't want to listen to your citizens.
I for one probably won't turn off the animation, etc. Feedback from my citizens is important for the success of my city. After I play the game, my opinion may change.... or not.
(I just reposted your pic because it didn't show...)
I think the right side has some menus too...
edit : (damn he deleted his post)
Greetings community!
We believe this is a good middle ground, as the feature is important for you to get an overview of the wants and needs of your citizens.
Does placement really matter? It takes up X amount of space. Doesn't matter which corner you put it in, it's always going to obscure part of your view.
Greetings community!
There will be separate options when you start a game for unlocking everything (except monuments) and unlimited money/sandbox. Right now this is a CO-made mod, we aspire to add it as a checkbox / easily accessible option before launch.
Yes, but some people, unless I am the only one with this quirk, subconciously look for the largest uninterrupted 4:3 rectangle of clear screen to do their "work" in, with the rest being treated as accessory context. Since the left and right panel zones are already taken out of this uninterrupted rectangle, the middle of either panel is no longer particularly precious and might as well have had other clutter in rather than taking the top off the otherwise largest rectangle, in the center.
Not sure if the 4:3 thing is cultural conditioning and will change as more of us use widescreens, or whether it's inbuilt. Apparently windows of rooms we feel most at home in also follow this proportion either in portrait or landscape orientation.
A lot of people seem overjoyed by this news... I'm not:
Why do you feel the need to 'compromise;' why not do what the vast majority of potential customers want you to do - as communicated on all forums - and give options to both move and hide it? Is really such a point of honour/credibility to someone, that it must stay? It's too big, lower than it should be, and it is wearing a 'my little princess' crown! There needs to be an option to hide it for your customers that don't watch Disney movies.
As to your second point: I have yet to see a single case where I 'need' to see anything it provides. There are lots of little icons all over city that appear to tell me all I need to know.
It's funny to me that you guys are applauding that CO listens to you.... but you don't want to listen to your citizens.

+1! Please folks, will you stop distracting the devs from actually improving gameplay with this complaint about something you haven't even experienced in person? Simply put: you have no clue yet how the chirper will affect your gameplay, so stop complaining until you've played the game... please. Let's have the hard-working devs fix any REAL bugs now. Or you don't have any right to complain about bugs when the game comes out, because YOU were the one making them focus on the chirper.
