It's just another flavor of the self-vote for snipe purposes later on. If someone reinstated the tie, you would be able to snipe out of it. So, selfvotes are seen as wolfish.

So Dutchguy either is an idiot (fitting the profile for the people hunting marty), or a wolf.

Either way, we can use less of him.

Besides, the way he took cymsdale out of the race looks a lot like "darn, village is running up my packmate, let's try and get that attention elsewhere" done poorly.
