Perhaps, but I can't link Nazi Germany with the imperial flag. It's a crap.
Perhaps something like this could be used. Changing the swastika by the iron cross looks nice to the eye, neither it is too ahistorical. Perhaps using a flag similar to that of the Fatherland mod?
Anyways, I think that the tricolor one with the iron cross is just great.

I know that too. The historically accurate flag of the German Defense ministry (1933-35) still looks too much like the German Imperial Warflag adopted in 1903. Making the cross smaller increases the difference between the two flags
I already tried that option. It looks good as a big size shiled (when you choose a scenario and a nation to play), but unfortunately it didn't look very good as a smaller shield with a province picture. The tricolor option is a way much better in that respect.
Could you post a screenshot of the German flag that is used for the Fatherland mod ?
By the way the same "Imperial" cross was also used in the flag of the Commander-In-Chief of the German Army from 1936 to December 1941

I known, but the Nationalsocialism needs a pagan symbol as banner. It's idiosyncrasy force it.
Why? Nationalsocialism enjoyed forcing millions into what they wanted and it serves them good when we force Terminator's pretty iron cross suggestion down their throats.

Nationalsocialism wanted to create a neopagan religion. Because that the NSDAP used the swastika as symbol, discouraged the the Christian belief, focused his efforts searching magical/supernatural roots for the Aryan race, etc...
